It's hard to say the Russian thing isn't real, but Sergachevs frame carries an extra 20 pounds over Juolevi's. We know how much GMTM likes his hockey "heavy"

Best case scenario IMO is one similar to ROR, where a player (Preferably young) has priced himself out of his current team.

He really doesn't seem to speak all to much about Russian prospects when asked by the media, it's kind of a, meh, next question attitude. I'm not completely sure if he has a history of ever drafting any, and so far he's shipped out I think all the Russians we've had in our system, and he's told Makarov to take a walk.

You're essentially banking on the quality of the entire group as a unit if you're long term plan is Risto, McCabe, Bogo, Pysyk, Guhle, someone like Borgen, which isn't necessarily wrong, just more difficult.

Also, when people say the team doesn't need picks anymore, I'm reading that as willing to trade the 1st this year in a deal for a top 2 D while keeping the rest of the picks, and I can't argue with that.

Yeah, Joulevi needs to put on some weight, but at 6.02 and 18-years-old, I'm not worried that he can't gain 20 pounds. I don't see him in the NHL next year either.

I'm not arguing with that either. That's just not what was said though. We obviously need NHL players to put us over the top, but we also have to have a pipeline of "potential" IMO

If we pick 8th (Likely best case scenario thanks to Arizona's pathetic last ditch effort at getting revenge on us from last year)

Matthews, Fin, Fin, Thachuk, Churchryn, Jouvei Those 6 are likely locked. Then Nylander Doubis and Russian for the 7-9 so we have a shot at two of them right now. We'll see where things shake out. I'd prefer the Russian or Nylander as Doubis reminds me a lot of Girgensons...
