Careful, they'll insult the city of buffalo and it's denizens if you insult their brand of hockey. |

Wrong, Larkin hasn't done more then Eichel for his team. - SABRES 89
Detroit will most likely be in the playoffs. Buffalo is not even close. That is how the voters look at these things. You either contribute a lot to a good team or you put up points at a better than average pace. Eichel hasn't done either. I don't think it's necessarily fair, but it's how this thing works.
All that being said, Larkin could find himself off the ballot as well. |

You speak of the Stastny with 8 or 9 goals for STL? Looks like his signing in STL hurt both teams?? - turbo044
Its not the offense that hurts, its his defensive zone start abilities, combined with his chemistry with landeskog. They were a true shut down line.
ROR was never put in that role, I think hes too good to be put into a Dzone start sort of deployment. |

If we get Lynch, I wouldn't mind seeing what Denver would be willing to give back. |

It can be frustrating to continue to want to lose long after the tank wars have concluded. |

You're not wrong. It's not an award I care about, it's just funny seeing his name on there and Jack apparently looking from the outside in. |

If you live in Manhattan, or LA, and you insult Buffalo, i understand. When you live in New Jersey or Detroit and insult Buffalo you are a Jackass who has never left your inbred, worn out, nasty, hooker filled streets.
I have been all over the country and world. There are very few places i would rather be than my house in Clarence. I have farms and country setting, and malls and city all within 15 minutes. Can't beat it. Only place i would leave to go to would be San Diego. Love it there(besides being that close to the border) |

Jack and Sam have 94 points.
Domi and Duclair have 96.
The NHL is in decent hands moving forward |

nope...I don't think him signing with a team will have anything to do with who holds his rights....except for tampa, who'll need to pony up if they want him to stay - Michael Pachla
They actually should be able to pony up less than any other team, and still make it worth his while |

I agree...they can also tack on an eighth year as well...there's a lot to like about tampa and as pointed out, there's no state tax which boosts his pay another 5-10%...
*shrugs*
it's really a no-brainer, imo |

I'm not saying one bit that Jack should win. It should go Panarin, McDavid, Ghost. But I'll dispute the fact that Larkin has done more than Jack. Higher in goals, assists, and points all while not being afforded the luxury of Zetterberg. I'd even have Domi ahead of Larkin.
All of this to say I have nothing against Larkin. - Zschalberg
Patrick Kane isn't a luxury for Panarin? |

Never said he wasn't, but Eichel doesn't have more points, goals, and assists than him. Conversation was about Jack and Larkin so I omitted Panarin since it wasn't relevant. |

This would be cherry picking, ignoring an entire half of the season. Progression from young guys is a safe bet, expecting disappointments to suddenly turn it around and more consistent play from guys who's careers have been wildly inconsistent may not be. - Sabresfan-365
That is a bit of a broad brush you paint with sir, as in a way it implicates both Ennis and Girgensons as guys that will be what they were this year, which was virtually nothing, for the rest of their careers, and I fail to believe that is true.
I'll put them in two categories.
Disappointments: Moulson, Larsson, Ennis, Girgensons (I fully expect 2 of those 3 to be improved next season, and possibly much improved compared to this past season. I have no idea what to expect from Larsson as this is two years in a row where he has played very well down the stretch but was a ghost prior to that. Moulson, well, what is less than zero regarding expectations...?)
Inconsistent: Bogosian, Kane (production only), Lehner (injuries)
Bogosian is tough to figure out going forward and is likely best considered as a #4 D until he shows a full season of good play and health.
Kane and Lehner are two more that need to show a full season of consistent health and good play. |
