1. I agree
2. Examples?
3. Olives yes cranberries... jury is out
4. Mostly agree... i dont mind a few picks to try to keep our competitive window open as long as possible but should definitely look more to adding to current roster

Yes, we do. We can trade the 8th or 9th pick or whatever for a young stud. But we need to draft well if we want to stay a good team down the road |

You can take care of both. I'm hoping Murray is looking at 4-5 years down the road almost as much as he's looking at next year.
It's hard and takes some luck to win a cup. I want to be competing for one for a decade, not building up for 1 or 2 cup runs |

Gonna go on a football tangent real quick:
I really hate when football players hold out on contracts or their agents get mad that they aren't getting a new deal before their current one is up (TT is the reason this is coming up). You signed a deal for that amount of money and that amount of years. Honor your contract.
Maybe it's the fact that I follow the NHL closer but at least in the NHL your contract is pretty solid and there's less holdouts and whining. |

The NHL has guaranteed contracts. The NFL does not. An NFL team can cut you at will with no compensation other than the guaranteed money previously agreed to. An NHL team can not do that. |

Very shortsighted. We have Eichel and Reinhart. We are going to be good.
We should probably have a plan to compete during the 12-15 years we have them.
The "We don't need anymore picks" narrative is what made Pittsburgh a playoff disappointment almost every year since 2009.
Build a well oiled machine. Someone leaves in FA, you have someone ready to step in.
Don't take my word for it, just look at the teams that are good for long periods of time |

True. I get that this is their big bargaining chip, just annoys me when TT's agent is mad because "The Bills won't give us money now even though last year we said we'd take their offer for 2 years". You made the deal, if they don't want to do anything about it now, that's their call. |

This. We need to have those players cooking in the minors for a while and then able to step in to key roles when the cap struggles come. That way they're ready to play in the system and can also play on the cheap.
Another reason why I want Rochester to start doing well. I know that we don't want a log jam of players that can't all play in ROC (although they could also go to the ECHL but that's different) I do want players being on the same team and with a similar system so that they build chemistry and can jump right in a la Detroit. |

More Ennis news via Pham: Ennis will not play the last 2 games. Also, Schneider and Rodrigues will make their NHL debuts tomorrow. Hamilton thinks that it's COR and Fasching that are going to sit. |
