Caps are a heavy team that's not playing heavy right now due to fear of injuries. They just look like a team that's turned off the switch and can't find it to turn back on. But again, we've seen this team enter the playoffs hot,cold,healthy, injured etc and the result is always the same. Playoffs are all about mental toughness and that's what the Caps need to show they finally have and we won't know if they do until the postseason starts. This has been a glorified preseason for 2 months. Hard to evaluate them.

It's not a curse, it's the team. In 1991 the 'Hawks blew their load to win it over the Blues....by one point. Then went on to lose in the first round to a 68-point North Stars team, who saw the 'Hawks as ripe pickins.

Then in 2013, the 'Hawks set a league record out the gate at 21-0-3. This time they kept the foot on the gas and would have beat any four teams in the playoffs en route to the cup.

The season is what you make of it.

What I am sure of is this. If the Caps win the ECF, they had better be ready for a battle. Cuz the WC team will be jacked. Whether it's my 'Hawks .... or the Stars, Blues, Ducks or especially the Kings.
