If you take his numbers from Jan 1, when everyone seemed to turn it around after getting used to Sully's system, and project over an entire season Kessel is

27g 43a 70 points.

That is 3rd highest points and assists. Just stop hatin sammy.

Edit: Kessel also finished positive in +/- for only second time in his career with plus 9.

70 pts is what we need from him. Think we all hoped for 40 goals and 30 assists though. But at his salary 70 pts is fair. And a a cup dynasty team has a winger like that. Hawks have always had Hossa and Patrick Sharp types adding offense behind their Kane/Toews.

Kessel also turned it up when malkin went down and really helped Sid shoulder the load. He played great the last few months and definitely helped the team stay on this hot streak
