I had a hard time finding the exact rule on this yesterday and then I gave up.

In the regular season, a player who is replaced due to injury cannot play for that team for seven days. I don't know how that applies with the end of the season/playoffs.

But you can't get cap relief unless a player is out 10 games/24 days. So any callups would be limited by cap space, of which the Penguins have not so much.
