I never knew that in the AHL if your helmet gets knocked off you have to skate off immediately....which is pretty funny considering an early fight in this game that went on for 2 minutes. Bardreau was turned around defenseless at the end and was just getting pummeled. The announcers were confounded also that it didn't get stopped much earlier. |

He's definitely grown up this season. Got a lot of the after the whistle nonsense that got him bad penalties in the past. Probably the best contract on the team. |

Finished the game on tape:
Oskar Lindblom....so so impressive to me. I don't even care that he scored 3 points. Thought he was maybe their best player before the third period surge. His game is very mature, which makes sense given that he played on Brynas's top line. Reminds me a lot of Raffl, if he was a slightly worse skater but had better finishing abilities. His path to the NHL might not be too long if this game is a good sample game. His off puck play is at high level in all areas of the ice. His on puck play was smart and effective too.
NAK on the other hand.....may have been the worst Phantom forward. If he wasn't invisible out there or floating, he was making turnover after turnover and over handling the puck.
Morin...I really like his defensive game in the d zone and neutral zone. He was awful with the puck though (his partner Alt was even worse fwiw). He seems hesitant and did not do well under pressure -- a lot of chip outs too. He's no Ghost, but he was far better at his puck skills in the Q. Hopefully he finds it again with experience. |

I'll give NAK the benefit of the doubt. Long season, disappointing finish, nerves, etc.

It's 1 game at the end of the year like you said. I'm not judging him other than in this game, but he was definitely a mess tonight, in all aspects of the game, even offensively. Not like I don't still have high hopes for him.
I saw Lindblom a few times at the WJC a few months ago though...I just find him so smart and effective. This game felt like a typical game from him. He doesn't even turn 20 until August. |

I think the flyers are excited about NAK's speed, without the puck he can fly and stop on a dime. I didn't think he was terrible but I did notice the turnovers. Its a hodge podge mess it seems when kids come up like this.
I don't think the help is there to the dmen in LHV consistently when their trying to break out. The dmen all curl back way way too much |

Im excited about NAK too! He's built very sturdily, can skate, has finishing skill. I don't doubt he will find his way next year with some learning.
The breakouts are a mess. Sanheim will help with that. |

People were probably petrified of Morin in the Q. He might have had more room.
And NAK making turnovers? I would think that's part of the learning process between the CHL and being a pro. Nonsense that works in the Q doesn't play in the Pro ranks. He'll learn.

It wasn't making turnovers so much as ONLY making turnovers. It wasn't pretty -- they weren't high skilled plays but simple passes and the like. Again, just an observation for tonight alone. He's not a bust yet...just mostly a bust. |

That's true. There were things he was trying that you just can't do. |
