If we could get Lindholm for the Pissek, Franson and this years first I would do that. - Der Kaiser
I would sleep easy with that move |

Love the idea.... feel like we would have to move one of Pysyk/Mccabe/Franson - hubie
I think McCabe is moving pretty close to the untouchable club. |
|
|
|
Any chance in signing either Cagguila and or Vesey? |

Our untouchable can get another teams untouchable thus making them touchable. I think he is good hes not great. Not sure if there is going to be a better time to get as much value out of him as there is right now. |

I saw a quote from his dad where he said he told him not to play in Boston or Toronto
But that could all be mind games |

Interesting........ the whole thing has me baffled. Seems to me his college choice centered playing in the bean pot so I figured the Bruins had the only shot.

What if Bruins go into rebuild or fire Julian, how may that affect Vesey? And what his dad says makes sense re both Tor and Bos. Anyone know what his relationship might be with Eichel? That may be Sabres best advantage over teams. |

They don't strike me as a team that will go through a full rebuild. They've got 2 1sts this year and some pull in free agency (yandle, Vesey). |

I caught the last 3 minutes of the bruins telecast of yesterdays game and all their announcers were talking about was cleaning house this summer and how Chara isnt the player he used to be.
Seems to me that if a college kid signed a 3 year contract there, it would be a pretty boring 3 years.

So the first American ever to lead the league in scoring is from Buffalo. Pretty cool. |

I'm sure something will be worked out and if not, they still want Hoffman gone so all is not lost. |

Good after his long season in college last year plus the combine and the camps and everything he needs a little break |

long time lurker here
my take on the last few weeks
1. Moulson is not as bad as we make him out to be. He played less then 12 minutes per game, put up 21 points and had a respectable -5 for the year. If you commit to giving him 15 minutes per game (second team pp), he will be just fine.
2. The shinny new toy only scored 1 more goal than the dusty skunk under the bed.
3. Gionta is everything this team needs on a 3rd line role for next yea, no reason to move him or hope he retires.
4. Mccabe and Johnson were the best surprises of the year
5. Franson and Girgensons was the biggest flops
I have to go see Slippery Pete and Shlomo now for a break out |

If both Moulson and Gionta are on this team next year, they will not be in the playoffs. IMO.
Agree with 4 and 5.
In regards to 2, Reinhart was close to 50 (good prediction). I was one who thought a year in Rochester might have been a good idea, I was wrong.

they really dont have anywhere else to go, so they will be there. Gio is not a bad guy to have on the 3rd. |

I know they don't. That is the rub.
A prefer Gionta myself, just need to upgrade the bottom six to get some secondary scoring.
Getting another scoring winger and top 4 dman are important, but I think addressing the bottom six is just as important. |
