Barrie and MacK are RFAs, they aren't going anywhere unless they are traded/ask for a trade/offer sheeted for a boat load, so who cares right now. RFA signings typically drag out into the middle of the summer since Agents are waiting for the rest of the RFA crop to set the market place

The media fear of the offer sheet is always the story line, no one actually offer sheets..and I think that is going to go down even more especially with the new lottery system.

I like the strides that Sabres have taken but what makes you confident that you won't have anymore top 10 picks? Flame Fans thought the same thing last season too, it doesnt take much for a season to be derailed

You have your own high price guys to worry about after ELCs in the next few seasons...sabres should be the last team to be throwing offer sheets and bloated contracts around. Ristolainen this summer, Reinhart next summer, Eichel in 2 years.

That was public opinion. Last year there were teams cap strapped with talented RFAs that wouldn't have cost us a first, and he didn't attempt it then. Going after bigger fish this offers on via RFA offer sheets would be riskier.
