Ive been saying the same for weeks....the 3 of us agree. I think he's the forward we need.
Adding sergachev would be a slam dunk here too - SMBDragon
We don't need a winger more than a #1 C to replace Hank.

Maybe, although I'm not sure you understand what a college scholarship is worth at some of these schools. Aside from the great job you get from holding that piece of paper, the degree itself could cost several years of AHL salary.

Oh I'm totally aware of it. My cousin played at UND and was offered a minor league contract(s) by three NHL clubs and then a 4th club had him on a PTO and in the minors for a season. He opted to finish school (which is totally his choice and fine) however choosing to play in Europe (after finishing school) and not in the AHL cost him a legit shot at the NHL. By the time he came back to play in the AHL for one season interest had basically already passed. He was even a pretty good scorer on his AHL club and not a sniff from the big club from the show. 2 of those NHL clubs even offered to pay for his schooling if to didn't work out.
If the player in question is super talented they may still get a look after they finish school which is fine…however many of the these NCAA guys need to think long and hard about how bad they want to be in the NHL. Finishing school and heading to Europe is all good and fine but by the time they decide to get back on the NHL train…it's usually too late. School will always be there in a few years if the NHL doesn't work out. Doesn't really work the other way around. |

Laine is ultra skilled but the center position is so important in the building process. I'll be happy either way. Even if we get Chychrun or Olli or Sergachev. |

" And the best news of all? He says he will be back against next season".
Seeing as how this low class rag can't even manufacture a coherent sentence, I'd hope so. |

Imagine if they added Demko, Boeser, Stetcher, Caggiula and Laine? - CanuckDon
Hope Stan Smyl is good at his job because the canucks are in a position to start gathering a pretty good group of prospects.
Now continue with your yelling. I'm all ears. |

Uh... The point was to trade the 1oa for picks and prospects that get you at least two if not three players when it's all said and done. Could get a couple of teams competing for it and end up with a nyr versus phi situation when they were bidding for lindros.. Not to the same extent but get multiple pieces that fill a lot of holes... |

If we make the trade happen I'd much rather trade 1oa for a potential first line centre and get the Finn than just get a first line centre. Ideally a future centre like kopitar. The best all around selke caliber center in the league atm and over the past 4-5 seasons... |

I didn't read the whole thing because it was almost unreadable but Boeser going back for 1 more year is perfectly fine by me. |

We're getting Mathews, trust me - pker2theend[/img]
I read that Matthews is a Mexican citizen. If trump gets in, he won't be allowed in the states. Makes most sense he plays for a Canadian team. I too have the same feeling we win the lottery. |

I sincerely hope management considers trading the twins, I know I know, highly unlikely....but it'd sure make the future brighter, quicker. |

The way things have gone, I really doubt that would happen. I would off load them in a heartbeat and speed this process up. Maybe it could happen in their final year at the deadline or something when salary is reduced but would be highly unlikely. Unfortunately. |
