that's great but if your disagreeing with my points give your head a shake. I may have brought it on a little strong but nothing I've said at all is untrue

I am not going to give you the satisfaction of disagreeing or agreeing with any of your "observant" posts. You come in here and say 2 "nice" posts for every 5 that you have something negative to say about our team or players and expect us to be ok with it. You are Calgary's version of Domi-Legend or Aardvark. You are Carolina's version of Bingo!

Bigalow deserves NO response from anybody given his past behavior. I am not against giving people second chances either, but he has made ZERO effect to grow up and be civilized with the people here and still continues to make "observant" remarks regarding our players or prospects that are not warranted or needed.

The sanctity of this thread goes a little too far sometimes. More conversations and threads have been hijacked by talking about trolls that by the trolls themselves. Flag and ignore, or just simply ignore and respond to a post you like. Its the internet, if people stopped acknowledging my posts after a while I would actually go back to getting work done...

Fine line between constructive debates between hockey fans and pure slander for the sake of entertainment. His multiple accounts and immature posts on those said accounts are enough to know what kind of poster he is.

Is it April fools again? When did HB get so soft.

If you aren't careful with this attitude you will basically be advocating for the Nucks thread to be a purely homerist cesspool like JJ's blogs.

This kind of attitude is why you get so much flak. You are not the voice of reason, and often post things like this. Nothing you've said is true either, yet you speak as if it is. It's just speculation, a lot of which is founded on an opinion that has less basis in reality than I think you are comfortable with. Also it's you're not your, if you're going to act like the know-it-all, proper grammar may be worth looking into.

Ron I can only assume by this that you were not present for the multiple bans and multiple account creations made by Bigalow after his flurry of posts? The Canucks thread, probably much like the leafs, flames, oilers, etc get as much heat from other fans as anyhwere else.. We are always open about debating with other teams fan regarding the state of the Canucks, but a line must be drawn in regards to what can be said and believe me, Bigalow loves to cross that line.

Thats fine, people don't have to respond to him. My point is that we were having a discussion about youth and bringing back vets and now its all about Bigalow is here. Personally, I find that more annoying than anyone coming by to say "Horvat sucks!", "Benning is an idiot", or "Vancouver is going to riot". This is the last time I will comment on it, I have ignored it for the most part but I just felt like bringing it up that ignoring is the easiest way to make people lose interest

I agree with you, but also assure you for every homer we have on this thread we have another poster with a different opinion. The point is to not be a asshat in the process.

I've never really experienced this thread being too sanctified until this conversation right now. But if it means anything I was discussing how bad JJ's thread is with some Leafs fans and they referenced that the Nucks thread was kinda the same a few years ago.

I just fear the day that idiot homers who don't have an ounce of brain matter in reality take the place of the trolls who can sometimes actually do a fairly good job of keeping said idiots in check.

When the Keith incident came out I felt like good Hawks fans were just trying to do damage control for all of the homer children who came crawling out of JJ's thread to find some BS justification for Keith.

Yeah you're right I was not present. I just thought there was nothing really wrong with what he was saying today. Maybe I just spend too much time in the Oiler's thread tho and I've become completely desensitized to bad trolls...

the old high road, eh?

I think trading Edler and buying out Burrows both are great options going into free agency/draft. Thoughts?

Edler's value (pre injury) was probably one of the highest it has ever been. Selling off diminishing assets while value is high is what CHI has done for the last however many years. I agree.

I am neither for or against a Burrows buyout. I don't see this team being hurting for cap relief next year.

I think what they do with Burrows tells you the future of the team. Buying out Burrows means to me they are pushing for the playoffs soon and they want that spot for some youth. If he is back, I see it as they are expecting to be near the bottom again, and are keeping him for experience, buying time for some people in Utica and possibly a TDL asset

Trading assets while they still have value is what I chalk that up to. If we want to be good in 2 or 3 years, trading the older fellas with value is good. The board is quite devided on Edler, I've been a proponent since day one. I think our record after him going out speaks for itself.

It really is too bad that Benning gave the term that he did to Dorsett and Sbisa. We are finally seeing the end of term contracts with some of the Veteran in the next 2 years of players that Gillis signed and it would have opened up Benning's template and given him more freedom and flexibility.

Agreed, he is in his prime years now, but by the time the team is ready to compete again, he will have declined (if he found his game/consistency over the next few seasons). Cant expect a massive return but some good pieces should be sent back from a contender

You know the worlds are a pretty poopty hockey tournament when 3 Canucks D are playing and a 4th declined.

Yeah I didnt and still dont blame him for that. I think he was trying to lock in a few pieces he liked early on but in no way could expect the team to drop off quite as fast as it did when he signed those guys. He is definitely a gambler with contracts, add Sutter to the list of locking it in right away

This is the whole issue, I've repeatedly have stated that if individuals wish to troll and trash talk, insult the team players or posters they'll be dealt with. Although in the same breath anyone can come around and engage in hockey discussion, Bigalow tried the wrong tact first, and now he seems to be trying the proper way....but that being said he is on a short leash after his Newbie123 stunt.

For today, I agree about 28pts in 69 games for Baertschi not an indication of top 6 material, but new team, new system, I'll give Sven the benefit of the doubt that he can be so much better.

Matt Henderson's blog is a poopshow of trolling, got hauled in a few times to assist Yeti and couldn't get out fast enough...
