Ive always liked his mocks. I think Nylander would be hard to pass up. Ive always been a fan of Mcleod. BPA for me, there are also a few good d men we can get early round 2. Wonder where sean Day goes would be an interesting late 2nd early 3rd flyer - hubie
I'm assuming Murray and the gang will have their list of who they want and whoever is the highest lest that's what they'll do. Part of me would absolutely love Nylander just because I've heard things about "he's the better Nylander" and if that's true and he's Toronto's best player right now that'd be great. Matthews-Eichel Nylander-Nylander, it'd be fun.
And I don't know much about Day but I'm all for taking flyers on guys like that. I wanted to pick Ho Sang and Roy because of their potential upsides. |

Listening to GMTM in his end of year presser...
My favorite line he keeps saying about players you can tell he is on the fence about "He has a contract" |

I'm sure I asked before, but I'll ask again - where in SC is there a team you'd ref for?
Likely far from here, but just curious. |

Ahh, nice. Not as far as I thought (thought maybe Greenville).
I love Charleston...do you ever get a chance to get into the historic district if/when you do games there? |

my reported ban was for telling a troll who bashed our blogger that
"So, a thought crossed your mind? Must have been a long and lonely journey."
How the hell is that worth a ban?
F the troll
F the ref that lets the trolls take cheap shots at our blogger
F the ref that banned me for throwing a dig at the 42 year old virgin because he kept taking digs at our blogger, our fans
F the trolls that trash us everyday and get off w/o a scrape
F the leafs, sens, habs, nucks, jets, oilers and flames because the center of hockey universe will not have a playoff team this spring
F Ek for thinking $20 of our hard earned money should be given to him, while people constantly attack our bloggers, city, team and fans and they don't even get a scrape
and because I feel like it, F all the original 6 teams
thrice - homiedclown

I see no way GMTM passes over Nylander for a Russian. Nylander would be a great pick there, even if not a great need |

Looking at the nhl.com prospects list a bit surprised to see Dubois over Tkachuk and the two top D but if that does happen I think it leaves us with a great chance at getting
Nylander or Juolevi
I think the only issue with having Dubois that high is many of the teams above us have stated they need D help and have been mentioned that they would draft a defenceman should they not be in the top 3. A team like Vancouver is a prime example

IMO, a better piece that could be a later move
Also, if he is there a team may over pay to get that pick up |

Definetly a great need for me. We need more speed and skill on the wing. Nylander would be a great fit for that in a year or two. Though my personal rankings are
Mathews
Laine
Puljujarvi
Tkachuk
Juolevi
Chychrun
Nylander
Dubois
Sergachev |

If there's a way for you and the old lady to get there on your own for the day after a game, I'd highly recommend it (kids would be fine, but I think yours are younger than mine, so likely too young).
We stayed at Lodge Alley Inn one time and it was awesome to be right in the middle of all the old stuff. There are lots of cheap, decent places to stay just outside of the area (we usually stay near Patriots Point) and spend the whole day in the historic areas.
If I ever hit the lotto, we'd own some old historic place in Charleston for sure. |
