I'm not sure why you think I'm worried, I guess I'm not the only one talking about it on here, but I do think it is a relevant conversation.
for example, if he goes back does he become our number one trade chip? |

I am not singling out you at all, or even referring to you in general in any of my posts. I am just saying, the media is creating this massive hysteria regarding college picks opting for free agency, and it is driving every franchise and its fanbase to create this panic when it really isn't necessary. |

That's their only talent. To make outrageous claims and give people something to talk about. I prefer Carol's blog to almost anyone else's skeptical pessimism. |

Carol is a keeper for sure.
There are a few good, reasonably balanced media types; Bob McKenzie, Elliot Friedman, Ray Ferraro. Ian McIntyre is probably the best local reporter IMHO. |

Not sure if someone post this mock draft from the Canuck Way website. Interesting to see some names for later rounds. This would be assuming we stay picking 3rd...

Sean Day sounds intriguing...
http://thecanuckway.com/2...e-2016-nhl-entry-draft/2/
American-born blueliner Sean Day, who was granted exceptional status three years ago, has lost some steam with his work ethic and ability to process the game drawing criticism from some evaluators. However, what doesn’t get questioned is his breathtaking skating ability and high-end offensive game. He should be a big point producer from the back end this season and starts out ranked just outside our first round.
Still, at 6-foot-3 and 229 pounds, Day has the perfect frame for an NHL defenceman. His skating was already at an elite level when we was 15, and he possesses outstanding offensive abilities. So far, he has 19 goals and 66 points in 158 OHL games. Unfortunately, he is also a minus-71.
After being a plus-47 in his last season of midget hockey, Day was a minus-35 in his first year of junior. However, he improved to minus-27 the next season, and currently sits at minus-9. Nothing great, but improvement is there.
Day could still turn into an elite defenceman if he can get it together defensively. Taken in the first round, he would qualify as a high-risk, high-reward pick. Taken in the second round, he could become a big-time steal. Or, he could become another average-at-best fringe NHL player.
Potential: Top-pairing Defenceman
Draft Range: 20-60 |

He said on a taped segment a few days back during intermission , being drafted by Canucks was the Biggest Day of his life. |

They are Oilers light + Mark Giordano. - bloatedmosquito
Exactly. If you want to get technical Calgary's rebuild is a few years longer than Edms. |

Watched a story on him not too long ago. His brother ended up getting in trouble with the law, and it was around that time that Sean lost focus and his stats dramatically decreased.

I like these picks - Retinalz
Matthews Phillips plays for the Victoria Royals. VERY undersized but VERY skilled. I don't think people expected much out of him as a rookie this year as the Royals were "supposed" to be a rebuilding team in the WHL. |
