That's fair. I though JB was a good hire, but that he would have benefitted from having some more experience around him. Apparently there talking about bringing in Maloney for just that, which I would like. I think JB is a scout first, which makes him pretty ideal to build a roster/access players. But signing and trading are clearly not his forte. I also think replacing WD with someone with more experience would be a smart move. If Julien or Hitch become available for example. - neem55
No to hitchcock. Decent seasons and all but last 12-15 years gets booted early in the POs. He has to adapt with current nhl |

On 2nd thought if we got Julien AND hitch itd be ok. Just give hitch what job he did on team canada which he did well. But Hitch as HC no |

Robby Fabbri
I wish Mccann played more like Fabbri.
I always thought they were very similar prospects before this year. |

I'm not sure I buy him disliking "gillis picks" I think he likes big players and to let d-men/forwards develop in the AHL. Bo is a Gillis pick and JB seems to love him. Same with Hutton. Rodin and Tram seem to also be guys he's pretty keen on. - neem55
that was my point.
Tram is a JB pick, from his 1st draft here btw |

Haven't been here in a while, I hope everyone is doing good!
Who else thinks that this year was a one-off?
A couple moves here and there, and I think this team will be able to settle into the middle of the pack next season.
Daniel/Henrik/Hansen
Eriksson/Horvat/Laine
Baertschi/Sutter/Burrows
Rodin/Granlund/Virtanen
Dorsett/Etem
*I'm assuming that Burrows stays, but I do think he will be moved this offseason. Also assuming that we sign a FA forward, in this case, Louis Eriksson. Further, hoping we land a top 3 pick so we can get an impact forward to hop in now.
Edler/Tanev
Hutton/Tryamkin
Pedan/Biega
Sbisa
*I'd hope the team goes out and signs a FA defenceman, for instance, Keith Yandle.
Markstrom/Miller
I know this season was a complete poopshow, but I think we've reached rock bottom (for as long as the Sedins are here).
Would like to hear your guys thoughts, hopes, etc in terms of next years team. |

I doubt Pedan is top 6 . I think he will play 4 th line forward against big teams.
Expect a trade . We also got Larsen |

No kidding, 3 current NHLers* and the "best goalie prospect" not in the league.
Can't ask for much more then that.

We can only hope. I was ok on Bart at years start but as the season raged on it was clear he is not capable defensively and he stopped using his excellent skating as an asset. Weber is just a disaster pretty much everywhere but the PP.
I'm really hoping Hamhuis goes and we can roll with Edler Tanev Sbisa Tryamkin Pedan and an open spot for someone to compete for. I think Biega's time is done here too. |

I'd be really surprised if he made the NHL next season. Probably headed to the AHL. |
