I never have confidence Nash will score, I've accepted what he is. He saved a goal the other night when it was 0-0, or 1-0. And assisted on Stepans PP goal, So I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now

The Nash dilemma for me is tough. The guy has shown he can score a good amount of goals during the regular season. Probably the Rangers best all around forward, Stepan right there too. Nash goes, you lose not only the regular season points, but also a great PK'er and defensive forward. If they make a deal for Nash, we need an all around player back or its going to hurt the team.

A lot of people think Hags loss was felt this year on the PK and the defensive side of the puck, Nash will hurt even more.

This is not to say I don't think he should be traded, but its going to have to be a very smart trade.

Yea, just need 19 players on Saturday to step up and really work hard and at least outwork Pitt.
- Anthony5967

If they outwork Pittsburgh they will beat them in Game 2.

The salary thing kills them with Nash. I would still do Nash for JVR. Tronna could use Nash for a lot of reasons. Nash would probably waive all that stuff to go there too

Nash has an 8 team list of teams he would accept a trade to

have to believe Toronto is on his approved list

Yeah, thats basically what it boils down to. Have a feeling any deal for Nash, Rangers are retaining partial salary for 2 years.

How you feel about Nash is how I feel about Girardi kinda. If he goes I'll but understand why it has to happen

If count the cash Rick Nash and the Rangers get bounced this round and he doesn't score , being the 7.8 mill dollar man I can see them at least shopping him at the draft .

Nash has to go. I'm not gonna flip on him this year lol but he has to go.
- Slimtj100

Yeah. He'll be easier to move, too with only one year left on his deal.

I will feel that way about both.

Nash isn't the kind of player that talks alot or runs people over, but damn he does play hard. I think he gets a bad rap from Rangers fans thinking he is soft, and not playing hard.

I'm sure they'll test the market for him but I doubt a deal gets done. Just a hunch.

I just feel like it'll be a mutual parting of the ways, with no hard feelings kind of thing. Nash is great for a young building team, because he a great example for younger guys. I would really think the leafs would love to get him, fans would probably be excited too.

Didn't Babcock want to jack his dyck at some point too? Haha

The softness, with me anyway, is solely based on not driving to the net enough, that's honestly my only gripe with him. When he does it it's a thing of beauty. He is a great defensive forward without a doubt

Derek Stepan is probably playing the best hockey of his whole career the last month, really wish Brassard would get his game going too like we know he can
- jimbro83

Have faith in Brass, he's always turned it up in the playoffs, need Miller and Zucc to get scoring again

Talk to St. Louis about a deal involving Shatty, buy out or wait for Girardi's limited NTC to kick in and trade him, but out Staal, resign Yandle

Mcdonagh-Shatty
Yandle-Klein
Skjei-McIlrath

There's a lot of Murica on that blue line

I am a big big Girardi supporter. Guy is all heart and should have played the role of Superman being that nothing seems to keep him down.

That said, I feel that wear-and-tear on his body have simply taken it's toll on him. Add to the fact that the Rangers have played close to, if not the, most hockey out of any NHL team the past three seasons; he simply needs a rest. I agree, if he goes, then I'll be very upset, but will completely understand it if it happens.

I am torn on Nash. We gave up Dubi and Art to get him, so I don't want a bag of plastic sporks for the guy.

I see cap space being freed some way, some how to resign E Staal and Yandle. With Boyle coming off the books, his cap hit will easily be absorbed into signing one of these two. Add the fact that if Lucic doesn't resign with LA, I see Gorton going after him this offseason.

I agree on the wear n tear. It just drives me nuts how most fans forget what made him like that. Fickle fans are (frank)ed up frankly (say that ten times fast) haha[/img]
