Hey Pachla, love your posts and agree with mostly everything you write but please don't ever say Pekka Rinne is one of the best again. He hasn't been in 4 years and you can use analytics to argue he's bottom 4th of the league. Besides that keep up the good work. |

Good blog! McGinn definitely won over the fans with his hard work ethic and touch for scoring goals. I'd love to see him back next season. Seems like a great guy for the locker room. A veteran alot of the young guys can look up to.
Kyle Okposo - Sign him up if he's available. Another good veteran to add to the pool of talent.

this is not a dig at you, so please don't take it that way
if you have ror on the first line, and kane on the second line
the team needs speed for the top 6 as those 2 will apply the dirty work
just my 2 cents of course |

It's very cool to see how many legitimate options are available to the Sabres this summer starting on draft day. Plenty of free agents who allegedly consider the Sabres a landing spot, a few more who might be willing to return at a reasonable price and defined role, and according to TM, many trade partners. The draft might not be a blowout for Buffalo like it was last year, but I think that entire week has top 5 potential. Guessing what the (frank) Murray does is almost moot at this point.
I'm calling my shot. Chychrun or Juolevi is picked by Buffalo in the #8 spot if one or both fall to us. Would be fantastic. |

I'm going to play devil's advocate on Okposo. He's a career -60 ,hitting 27 goals in a year once, playing a majority of the time w/ Tavares. Didn't we already do this w/ Moulson???? Gotta be better wingers available in the 6mill range. |

How many F spots are truly available for Sabres to sign FA's such as McGinn, Okposo, etc. and to possibly sign college FA's such as Vesey and Caggulia, and possibly via draft if we get lucky with a lottery pick? |

yandle fits second pair d men, you can make a case for first pair
stamkos of course can fit anywhere
I am not impressed with much other than them for UFA's
we are at a point where trades will need to be made to get our list of 50 signed players down a bit and with the plethora of 3rd/4th line players and 6/7 d men a few 2 or 3 for 1 trades will probably need to be made |

I think that McGinns as good as gone, especially if he does anything in the playoffs. Vesey, and Caggulia are prayers. We've got guys that need to be traded, tons of draft picks, and money under the cap. I'm hoping trade route. |
