Now that this blew up in Farrell's face, let's hope Gibbers didn't blow things even worse by putting Osuna in with a 4 run lead yesterday.

Because, generally speaking, playing with better players is better

Tough concept, I know.

He's played with decent players.
You'd hope that he would make other players better.....but.
Not every player can.

You really think the Kadri signing is not a good thing?

decent players? I guess, if you think Grabner is decent (I don't)

But he also had decent numbers. and is on a decent contract.

Now to turn "decent" into "good"

Not every player can turn Komarov into an All-Star, you're right

like whom? and please dont bring up kessel... both guys like to carry the puck into the zone... hence why they never gelled... its the same reason kessel is a third line winger in pittsburgh... because malkin and crosby also like carrying the puck into the zone

Is that final?

Imagine the Jays signed Price.

Sanchez, Stro, Price, Estrada, whoever.

They are going to regret that for at least 4 years.

Specailly once Eddy or Jose sign with the yanks or red sox.

Why not?

You said shooter....Kessel is a pure shooter. He was the purest shooter when he was in Toronto.

Kadri is where he was expected to be 40- 50 pt guy...maybe the odd 55- 60 pt season (which he has yet to do, but hopefully will in the next couple of seasons)

Pillar ended the inning with a diving catch. 4-1 Jays heading into the 9th.

Saw this meme the other day

"2/3rds of the Earth is covered in water. The other 1/3rd is covered by Kevin Pillar"

Thought that was good

I just wish they at least tried to sign him. Odds are he wanted to play elsewhere but yeah.

kessel is not a pure shooter... he likes to have the puck on his stick and carry it himself into the zone

a pure shooter just skates into the zone and gets into a slot and gets ready to fire it on net when the pass comes his way

i like how you judge kadri for not being able to mesh with kessel but you conveniently ignore the fact the neither crosby or malkin could gel with him as well.

and there is no question those 2 are two of the best centers in the league

that, imo, falls on kessel... not his centers

yeah that's a good, but I think Deion Sanders coined that one years ago. Talking about himself in 3rd person too.

Sounds like a bargain at 4.5 if the rest of his game is good as well.

thats two teams that moved on from kessel now... that says something
