I'll never forget 3 years ago
The worst part was the fact that they shut down on cell phone calls (they can be used as triggers so I'm glad they did), but I couldn't get a hand of my sister, brother, and cousins who I knew where at the finish line.
It was a terrifying 30-45 minutes till I heard from them. - RickJames77
Yes. Trust the authorities. They have your best interests and safety at heart, undoubtably.

So this is what it's like without consistent playoff hockey from your team....it sucks, but it'll be worth it....right - LeftCoaster
I take it you didn't follow the Canucks in the late 90's then? |

If the Ducks lose this series, do you guys think Boudreau will be fired, or do you think he'll be given another year? |

I have not done very well with my playoff predictions this year at all. I think I have one team that I have picked up 2-0. The rest are tied or behind..

As long as the Leafs draft top 3.
The hockey gods can't hate us that much can they?
mynhldraft.com has the Leafs picking Libor Hajek with the PIT pick. Anyone know anything about this jabroni? |

I believe he gets canned - which would be really dumb in my opinion. Those games could go either way.. and you could certainly make the argument that the Ducks were getting "jobbed" in the same fashion as the Blues were against Chicago. |

Couldn't be a better outcome, IMO.
In that scenario, do you take Matthews no matter what? Or do you try to grab Domi or Strome and trade down to take Laine? |

while I don't think Hunter has a prejudice against Euros or anything like that... I can't see the Leafs taking a Euro with that pick ... particularly if they take one with the earlier pick.
Hunter's OHL focus would I think create a little bit of prejudice or preference for OHL kids. |

completely agree.
Officiating question to the gang here:
so the Blues had a goal called back because of the whole nonsense over the foot-off the ice - foot on the ice thing - which while technically correct was a total BS call (imho).
here's the question...
on a goal - when the puck enters the net its a goal when it crosses the plain of the inside of the red line (correct/incorrect)?
on a offside call - why does the players foot have to be on the ice - shouldn't it be a breaking the plane thingy as well? (since if a puck is shot out of the zone by a defender and an offensive player attempts to catch or knock down the puck.. you often see offside called when it hits them in the air/above the ice outside the line)

To me, the biggest BS goal of the entire playoffs was the one that went through the back of the net, then came back in off Dubnyk. What a load of horsepoop, rules or not.

Because that is the way the rule is spelled out. They mentioned looking to change it to the plain of the the Blue line.

Fired. Although the GM should go. They no players with offensive game breaking ability. They're boring to watch and play most of the game behind the opponents net |

I completely get that the rule was properly interpreted... and completely agree that for close plays there shotuld be a review...
but the league who "tinkers" so much wit the rules should be quick to respond to addressing an issue when - such as this case - the manner in which the rule is written is just plain stupid.
If they give the on ice officials the "final say" over the recommendation of the review committee TOronto - that's how it NEEDS to work. Then you simply wouldn't get these dumb situations.
And for everyone's sake - put a time limit on how quickly the review has to be completed. If it takes more than three minutes to review... move on. |

I've had a chance to watch him a bit lately. Not really a huge fan of his game, tbh. Just my opinion of the guy
Would rather Nylander if its a forward, or Chychrun/Juolevi if its a Dman
You see why it HAS to be top 3? |
