Hey Bill,
Any word on Schultz? He looked kind of gimpy after blocking that many Ovi one timers? |

Nice try. I don't see a single word about the refs in my post, and I can assure you that no one else does either. I will gladly sit back and enjoy two great hockey players and people leading the team I follow and care for. Keep trolling though, you are making yourself look like a genius. Enjoy knowing that years of purposeful tanking has still gotten the Sabres absolutely nowhere - YuenglingJagr

So have we abandoned the long term view and tempered expectations after these last 3 games? - funmaster18
Not me. I think 16-17 will be better than this year. I'm expecting them to be solidly in a playoff spot all year. And 17-18 is when it starts to get really exciting - multiple playoff series wins. |

"The refs are screwing us".ahahahah I knew THAT was coming...."we outplayed them if it wasn't for the refs..ahahahhahaha
If Giroux and Voracek are the guys you want leading this team...so be it....maybe you should sign them to huge extensions...only make OUR job easier....
Good luck in future seasons

I wish Schultz would have just said Uncle and claimed injury. That guy took at least 4 Ovi slappers off the right leg/foot last night and could barely skate during that 5 on 3 power play. I felt sorry for him.
Gudas wasn't out there for it he got tossed when Bellemare did for a 10 min misconduct. It was Schultz and AMac for the most part. - dragonoffrost
I could not watch the 3rd period due to circumstances, I guess I'm lucky.
I think Danny was just using Gudas as an example as guy blocking shots, and the fans being ignorant that their behavior puts them at risk.
I was really proud of the way Schultz played last night.
He is a warrior who cares and gave it his all.
Thought Sam Gagner showed some good poise when he was out there, at least the part of the game I saw.
The other teams trolls are amusing to say the least. |

A true leader in buffalo....
last night Ryan O`Reilly ran his pickup truck into an Ontario Tim Horton's, fled the scene of the crime, abandoned his car further down the road, and was then later picked up by police along with a friend. Making things worse, O'Reilly was tested with a blood alcohol level of .08. - J35Bacher

Gagner has truly looked like one of the Flyers best forwards. That Schenn Raffl Gagner line has been great
And I agree...it has made the morning much better than I expected it to be |

Probably the best players so far:
Mason(other then some questionable goals)
Schultz
Manning
Schenn
Gagner
and the 4th line
That isn't going to win many series

Did not see the game when Malkin came back but would like to ask, why not play him and Crosby together on a line? Load up and see if the other team can deal with them which I doubt |

The facts are that there is not a single team in the NHL that would win a series with the same lopsided numbers on special teams. Not one. It is a dagger, candle stick, rope, machine gun...whatever you want to call it. Special teams have blown a hole in the series and the fact that the Flyers aren't doing anything besides sit back and let the Caps continue to take shots is extremely frustrating.

I am all for giving Mason credit because he has played well and I think he is undervalued greatly around the league and by our own fanbase....but those are two goals he simply has to stop. He has to. It was the beginning of the end last night. I still have faith in him, I just really wish those got stopped |

I am not as big a Mason fan.
I think he is good but not sure I want to commit what will probably 6mil or more on his next deal.
I loved how the tv crew kept trying to justify the Ovechkin goal. Finding ways to make it seem like it was a good shot. |

I think he had 2 penalties himself before the game went haywire. He has had some good shots from the point. Rang one off the post off of Backstroms leg last night. It is so hard to say who is good and bad I think. Obviously you expect more from certain players, but as the numbers show....This is a series at even strength and its a complete joke on special teams. So staying out of the box goes a long way towards winning games |

I pointed this out last night to a Leafs fan. I am a jays fan and last year in the Divisional round of the playoffs, game 5 after a call that went against them, Jays fans littered the field and threw beer cans from the 500 level. One full can almost hit a baby.
Not a peep in the media about how Toronto fans are classless and always do this. It's a convenient narrative for the media to say they throw snowballs at Santa claus and Philly is the worst or only city that does this. - Hextall271
When the Wings won NILL in 2001 in Toronto the Toronto fans threw everything they could find. For a lacrosse championship.
A few years ago in DC (where only polite dainty fans live) someone threw a beer that hit Carter in the head during his on-ice interview at the end of a game.
I'm not sure if anyone else posted this link, but it is interesting, and I think he actually has it right.
