What is your opinion on an Escalade with 22" chrome rims parked outside section 8 housing? - Corporate_hater
There's a term for that, but I'm going to refrain from using it here.
But it's a person with horrible priorities. |

I feel bad for level-headed (sure there are very few) flyers fans. Throwing the wrist bands onto the ice that were handed out as a part of the ceremony for their teams founder, just the epitome of classlessness. Just got to be embarrassing and not just from a hockey point of view. - capitals89
Just so everybody knows... the bracelets handed out at the game had nothing to do w/the Ed Snider tribute. They are generic Led bracelets that have been used in the past at the WFC (at some concerts). It was part of an "interactive" light show to pump up the fans. I'm not defending the fans that threw the bracelets in anyway, but the only thing it had to do w/Ed Snider was it happened on same night in which the team honored him. |

I'm sure they didn't have any "Ed Snider specific" bracelets, but they were handed out at last night's game (as opposed to any other Flyers game ever) for part of an interactive light show mean to honor him, as was my understanding. |

Flyers Need some size on that front line. I'd add Lucic if you can get him at a reasonable price. |

a couple hundred too many and the play had to be stopped several times. sorry its not acceptable behavior and the fact people just say its acceptable just makes me shake my head. - nastyflyergirl
Yes, all it takes is one on the ice and Ghost - or any of the other players or officials for that matter - skates over it, blows something out, and his career's in jeopardy. Yuk. |

Agree on size, but can you imagine if we did get Lucic? The media would be all over it with "Flyers adding more goons, blah blah blah". |

ooh i love this one. just like every one of those houses having a TV in it that's probably worth near as much as my car. gotta love the Norris homes.
although admittedly, there are definitely larger social ills evident here. still sucks and is annoying to see. |

I want size but not sure about Lucic. And I think he is going to get somewhere around 6.5 to 7 million. |

The way he plays the game makes a long-term contract a huge risk.
If a couple of injuries slow him down a little more, he'll be absolutely useless, with 5 years left on his contract. |

He will want a mega contract which makes sense at the point in his career.
Someone will give him that. I dont want a 5+year commitment. |

I despise Lucic. He's just as big a douche as he's always been, and now in a UFA year he's going to be a really expensive douche. He's going to be looking for a lot more than the 3.25M he made this year. No thanks. |

I don't expect them to win the Cup or even the series, but I did expect more than what I've seen as well. - jmatchett383
I wanted them to win but expected nothing -- don't people watch these other teams play?
There was nothing about Washington that was a good matchup for the Flyers. Not one. That team could have had 135-140 points this year. Holtby set a record for wins and is in his physical prime after being a Vezina finalist last year.
Who was gonna check the Backstrom line AND Kuznetsov line? The PK has been a tire fire for two seasons, the Flyers take too many penalties, and Washington has had a top three PP for years.
They are bigger than the Flyers and more physical and skate just as well or better.
This wasn't like 2010, where that team underachieved all season. I didn't expect more because sometimes, you have to accept that the other guys get paid too and this Capitals team might be comparable to the 2010 Chicago team if they can win it all |
