As my first point was missed... Been hearing about the future for five years now.

It's cheap, the sun shines all year, and the temperatures are amazing for 8 months.

I moved here from NYC to be with my girlfriend, who is from Tucson. It's actually a really cool little town, and way better than the horrible, urban sprawl that is Phoenix. The only downside is I don't get ice time outside of my 10 games from September to December. I lugged my equipment to Philly in January to play for two hours with my buddies, that's how hard up I am.

lol I didn't realize that was still an open item.

My wife went to grab a few things from the grocery store with my buddies wife one night.

My buddy and I were shooting the poop, drinking and just watching a hockey game. An hour and 15 minutes goes by.. they still arent home. So I call my wife and she answers the phone by saying "Please dont kill me."

She some how ended up driving up on to the parking lot divider strips with the bushes and grass and all. Got the Elantra stuck on it, resting on the frame..

As critical as I've been of the team, what happened last night was appaling and serious black eye on our history. I am embarrassed. Say what you will but those bracelets and last night, win or lose, was about honoring Ed. We would not have hockey here if not for him!

You might wanna back up there chief... Holmgren said "we're a different team, but I like our team" after the trades in summer 2011... 5 years ago.

Id rather stab myself than be one of those guys. I hate sharing the road with them.

Holmgren had ups and downs, and got us damn close to a Cup. However, he clearly wasnt able to assimilate to the new NHL. Bad signings and poor drafting (mostly prior to the last few years) killed us from within.

Hextall has reversed that.

This team made the playoffs a year (some would say two) ahead of schedule. And did it with the same lineup they had at the beginning of the season (minus Ghost) while missing their defacto #1 dman in Del Zotto. The same lineup people said would be competing for a lottery pick.

Over the next calendar year, I wonder if Hexy will sign Ghost to some type of 2 year prove it deal or go with the Josi 6 year term around $4 million/yr?

Exactly. People are pissed and disgruntled. I read a post today saying they would have rather them just not make the playoffs...

Come on! Really? This team gave us the best hockey I have seen in some time. That stretch drive was sensational.

They have been extremely competitive 5v5 vs the top team in the league. Were getting smoked on special teams. Its disappointing to see them go out this way, but thats being near sighted.

Look at what they accomplished on the year. Over coming injuries to top players.. learning a new coach, having young guys take the next step (or first steps)... This team has the blue print down. Now they need to just working it in.

I am a happy Flyers fan.
