And when you couple last night's Flyers nonsense with the Phillies getting throttled by the Mets, it makes me want to gargle draino. - johndewar
You're in for a painfully long summer if you plan on taking Phillies beatings personal..... |

Ranks 23rd out of Eastern Conference forwards in the playoffs in Scoring Chance %. Ahead of all Capitals except Williams/Kuznetsov/Burakovsky
Lets just focus on blaming two players for the Flyers penalty kill though |

You think Ottawa will do a trade? Giroux for Ryan? Giroux is basically from Ottawa's Cherry Hill - Mononoke
They did faceoff in that youtube video as a trade preview I can only assume |

Is he as undersized as Johnny Gaudreau and/or Patrick Kane? - jmatchett383
If he had their skill, don't you suppose he'd have skipped the AHL like they did? |

I'm just saying he may be good, but he's not so good he skipped development. No one expected, or expects Konecny to be elite. |

To be fair, Giroux didn't skip development and he's elite, so it's really hard to tell either way.
(ofc, I'm the guy who would have taken Konecny ahead of Dylan Strome, so...) |

Meh. I'm not in the over-rated camp, but he certainly hasn't done anything in the playoffs, that's for sure. And the whole "it's easy to key on him cause we have weak secondary scoring" argument is lame for 2 reasons: he's looked ineffective on the powerplay, and no matter how much teams focus on you, they still only have 5 guys on the ice at a time and they still have to outwork you.
G, Jake and Simmonds should be able to create space and chances for themselves that result in some points, more than 1 over 3 games.
Giroux, with all those PP and ES minutes, has 6 shots over 3 games. Gotta be better than that. |

I don't know about you guys but I'm enjoying the playoffs. We had really nobody picking us to even make the dance. However, this is showing our glaring holes for everybody to see. Provy will help on d. So will sanheim if he's ready. Konecky will def help the offense a lot. We are horribly short on lw and center(in a way). Coots is not a 2nd line center. Schenn is. Cousins is a 4th liner fringe NHL along with Laughton. We need a lot more talent throughout the line up. The 4th line is prolly the best line we have on a consistent basis. And that's really bad. Man can they cycle the puck and keep possession. But when they get scoring chances they couldn't hit the broadside of a barn unless it reflects off of them by accident (white). I hope a lot of our prospects are ready or can at least contribute shortly. |

it's unfortunate that they look as bad, if not worse, as they have all season once they finally got the playoffs. It's unwatchable hockey. |
