Do college seniors who were never drafted end up being any good?
Are there any examples of them having success at the NHL level? |

Not sure about College seniors, but a ton of undrafted players have made it big, and with the skill level of US players rising i would imagine it will happen quiet a bit. |

I am trying to find a list of undrafted players from NCAA Hockey, but I can't find one.
I guess I did not take into consideration the level of play in NCAA Hockey increasing. |

I found a few, but every list is just an undrafted list which shows mostly Canadians. |

That idea is working real well for the Flyers though, right?
Edit: That might have come off a bit catty. Main point is the end of the season isn't the best litmus test for what we need. We go out with the same roster that we ended the season with and we'll end up with the same result. Perhaps a bit better due to player development but there won't be a jump from 23rd to 16th. - Zschalberg
I wholeheartedly disagree. A rebuilding team (done properly) should get better each year, even if retaining the same roster.....that's the whole point of rebuilding through the draft. A star or budding star at 18 or 19 will undoubtedly get better each of the next few season, both as they learn the game mentally but also physically. One of the main reasons top draft picks go back to minors is they just aren't physically strong enough to compete at the NHL level.
I'm not sure how you can defend the logic behind taking my comment based on how the Sabres were playing to end the season, and apply that to the flyers, who are struggling mightily against probably the best playing team in the league.
You would be correct, if this were NOT a young/rebuilding team, in that case the same roster next season should deliver the same results as the prior, fortunately, that is not our case, far from it. |

Has absolutely nothing to do with $$. You're limited in what you can offer and everyone offers the max entry level deal of 2 years and something like just under $2m. Whatever our dman out of MIN state got (name escapes me)

*reads the bit on Smith from Ty Anderson.
*realizes that's literally the tip of the iceberg.
What is wrong with that franchise, seriously? With Hamilton and Seguin they're a playoff team this year, and a threat for the next 6.
Anyhow, hi female doges.

"I also don't see too much happening this offseason, as far as GM TM making minor changes to the lineup. I could see him pursuing a single major piece to make it worthwhile but aside from that, the 4th line is really all that's left to really tinker with.
Kane, Jack, Sam, ROR are set....and i imagine you have to insert Moulson and Ennis into the top 6 to start, if only just to see if they can come back to form before burying them (and their contracts) further down in the lineup. And then there's the 3rd line of Foligno, Gionta, and Larrson which also won't be changed because they were really clicking. "
Exactly why I was so pissed when they went on that meaningless tear at the end of the season .............. for fear people/fans would assume we are a minor piece away from a Cup run.......... which we are NOT. Fortunately I have faith in TM that he wasn't fooled by that string of solid play and has big plans to take the next step. |

I think there's only so much that can be done with trades. That run lends credence to this being a team on the rise, making us potentially an attractive destination for fa's (along with oodles of cap space).
