Usually if you go that over the top with the refs you get at least a twn minute and then if you continue to over the top they start calling minors on you as well and kick you from a game.
I love Shaw's passion and all but he needs to reign it in. - BluemanGuruu
Nah. Just give him 2 and 10 and send him to the dressing room.
He'll be writing a check for the gestures. |

there was a play either in the forst or second around the three minutes left mark. this is what the coach's challenge should be for. The hawk's dman tries to keep it in the puck goes well across the line and the linesman missed it. nothing ended up coming from it but had toews scored there that goal was not going to count...well normally anyway... |

2 and 10 shpuld have happened right away and it did not happen and then Shaw starts something at the end. I am guessing he is veering rather close to requiring a night off. Of course it was the ref's error and not sending him to the dressing room. If I were a olayer on the ice I would be upset because he lost all control. |

Shaw may have an additional problem besides the finger gestures...

Oh yeah. Big time. Andrew Shaw is trending worldwide on Twitter right now, and you can bet your @$$ this is the reason. The NHL & specificly the Blackhawks have partnered with the You Can Play movement recently. They will not be pleased. |

What happened to Gunnarson? Gonna be tough to replace all those minutes, I suspect Edmundson is going to see a lot more ice. - fattyboubatty
Bortuzzo played great! Those early big hits created some mistakes later in the game. Borts is also a stud.
Soon the cap will hurt us like the Hawks. But with that in mind Bortuzzo would be the Hawk's fourth best dman. |

About 2 weeks ago was you can play night at the UC. Patrick Burke pulled an oops tweet and pulled it down but it's out there. Basically said no discipline just education and he is sure Shaw regrets it. I doubt that is going to help matters and may actually make the reaction worse, make the NHL response stronger (just my own pr speculation).
It was April 5th. |

Having seen Tarasenko in the KHL playoffs and international tournaments he always had a second gear...never imagined it would translate like this in the NHL. Win or Lose for the Blues, can anybody stop him? |

This is the least of what makes him a D-bag but the PC police are going to have a field day with this.
Andrew Shaw just has one of those faces that makes you want to punch him in the eye before you even hear one word out of his mouth.
Hawks are frustrated and it's f***in beautiful! |

Bortuzzo did play well. I was thinking during the game, our 7th and 8th D men would pretty easily be playing in Chicago's top 6. |

Shaw should sit a game
and no not for the double bird that should be fined
but his homophobic slur at the ref
you CANT do that I don't care who you are or how mad you are
In todays climate you CANT let that go unpunished
A fine doesn't hurt Shaw a Suspension does
You have to know that the cameras are going to catch everything in the playoffs and Shaw should pay with a one game suspension |

I was actually amazed how much outward frustration the Blackhawks were showing. Shaw is always good for 2-3 tantrums a game, but Kane, Toews, Panarin, Crawford, etc. were all visible rattled at different points. I can't ever remember seeing that from ALL of them before.
You're exactly right. It's magnificent.

And Coach Q spent nearly his entire post game presser complaining about the officials & their lack of consistency.
Has he been watching the games or what??? |

They must have just gotten so used to having more power play opp's than the opposition that they come to expect it. How Crawford didn't get at least a minor is beyond me, and any stick that comes Shaw's way is completely warranted. |
