Great show of maturity and poise by the Blues tonight. A level from them I haven't seen before from them. Love that Steve Ott is the voice of reason.....

Great win over the officiating tonight.

Great win over yet another video replay.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Great job of beating the Hawks too.

It's awesome watching Chicago's frustration boiling over. Andrew Shaw is adorable.

They must have just gotten used to having more power play opp's than the opposition that they come to expect it. How Crawford didn't get at least a minor is beyond me, and any stick that comes Shaw's way is completely warranted.

Crawford should have gotten Five for fighting and a match penalty for punching with his blocker

That should have been the extent of that

Fabbri tried to miss him and Toews shoved him in to Crawford

That has been my biggest issue and maybe Jammer or another goalie can help me out

But why is the goalie ticked at the guy that is pushed in to him and not ticked at his own player for pushing him in to the tender?

Been watching hockey for forever and I continually see things I've never seen before.

How does Crawford go all Eddie Belfour on Robbi Fabbri like he's Geoff Courtnall and the Hawks get a PP out of it???

Bizarro world.

Did you see some of the Hawks go down and pat CC on the head after their go ahead goal?

That call could have been the best thing to happen to the Blues. They kept their cool and the refs had to call it straight the rest of the night and the Blues cashed in.

That's easy. Goalies are focused on the puck. If you are paying attention to d-men pushing forwards, you aren't going to be in the nhl giving up a lot of goals. The natural reaction is not to think - It's ok you bowled me over because someone must have pushed you into me.

Good refs will let goalies know right away that he was pushed into you, actually it your d-man stick that caught you in the head not the forward, etc.

THanks I knew you would have a perspective I wouldn't think of

It is crazy watching these games and seeing the Hawks come unglued at times

They used to be above the fray

I also could not figure out how Pietrangelo ended up in the box. Not only did we somehow end up short handed, but an entire PK unit ended up in the box.

I'm not going to argue with the end result though

That is the thing with everything going on in this series

The fact is the Blues are ONE game from eliminating the defending champs

Thursday night is the biggest game in the history of this franchise!

He is adorable, isn't he?

Everyone thought it would be the Blues that couldn't keep their cool. And that was the safe bet based on history.

Seems to me that some have a really tough time losing, especially because of the opponent.

This rivalry makes me happy.

I'm the not, in any way, a conspiracy nut. I don't blame referees when my team loses. I don't think Bettman and the officials huddle together and make plans to pick off certain teams with bad calls.

But cripes, the calls going against the Blues are ridiculous. Not just bizarre penalties, but the league calling up the arena and saying, "Hey, the Blues were offside man. No goal."

I didn't have a horse in this particular race, but after the last few attempts by the NHL to gift this series to the Hawks, I'm in all the way for St. Louis.

Go Blues!*

*feels weird saying that, but I'l get used to it.

So, we've got Flyers, Flames, Leafs, and Red Wings fans rooting for the Blues. These are crazy times.

Pains me to say this.... well deserved win by the Blues. Capitalizing on turnovers, staying focused and good back/fore checking will lead to wins. The Blues did, and have been doing, all those things better this series.

It is not over with 88 and 19 on the Hawks it is never over until the other team wins a fourth game

I would be interested in a hawks fan perspective on shaw.

Suspension or just a hefty fine?

This series has me holding my breath before celebrating any goal coming off the rush.

If this is any sampling - goals are being scored offsides in epic proportions. It's a pandemic.

If not for video reviewing, we'd done had a hand-shakin' line.......

Reading through a lot of the Hawks' comments and a lot of them are pissed at the way he's lost his cool and suggesting he sit (or face discipline).

All I can say would be "great" if that happened. He's one of the guys out there that's causing havoc and making things uncomfortable for the Blues and trying to disrupt Elliot. I'd be happy to have him sitting.

He was quiet in game 1 and has been a handful since.

Yup Q wont sit him

Now the hawks organization might sit him as he embarrassed the organization

NHL might step in and suspend him

But if it is up to Q he is playing game 5

He and Keith have been the two best Hawks in this series IMO

Crawford is third

I was at the game last night and I have to give the Blues props.
Besides great goaltending and timely scoring the thing that stands out to me is how it seems they always have a stick in the passing or shooting lanes.
I was also looking at the Blues cap situation and boy do they look to be in good shape for years to come. They look poised for a long playoff run.

FYI fines can't be hefty based on CBA rules.

This isn't the same Blues team from previous years. They are playing more disciplined and not going through spurts where they would take dumb penalties and lose their cool.

A lot of really good young talent on the roster and Tarasenko is a freakin' beast.

Still can't stand Steve Ott though. That guy is a waste of a roster space.

I'm hoping they bring back Brodziak and Upshall both, unless it would take over 1m each.
