and he will likely be gone
I would love to keep Brodziak though - sycsam
I honestly think he & Upshall have been 2 of the best signings Army has made since he's been the Blues' GM. Both of those guys have turned the 4th line into a weapon. They forecheck, use excellent positional defense, & can even create a small bit of offense. Those are some of the trademarks of championship 4th lines. I'd like both back |

I'd be happy to be Brodziak, said it before. Lukewarm on Upshall. He's fine, I wouldn't overpay for him in dollars or length of contract.
I'd also be alright keeping Ott if he could just show up for the playoffs. This season was just about perfect.
I have no use for him October thru March. |

What would you think of a Sobotka Upshall Brodziak Reaves fourth line turnstile
Let Ott walk or retire
Bring Sobo back, rumor has it he wants back, and resgin Upshall and Brodziak to low term 1 Million dollar deals |

With Backes gone after this season, Sobotka probably slots in as a 3C... |

If backs is gone
I still think that he comes back and I think he will take less to stay in STL
Just my thoughts |

It'd definitely be nice. Gotta think a team like Ottawa would make a strong offer. They're already talking about needing strong two-way players. |

I think you go in and say what are your numbers Big Boy
and He says something insane like 6/6.5 per you tell him thank you for your service to this organization but we cant go higher than 4/4 per
and you let him walk
Kesler is a prime example of what Backes should not be paid |

If he wants to be a fourth liner maybe. If he still thinks he's a top 6 he can stay in Russia.
IF he wants to finish out the one year arbitration he owes the Blues maybe.
If we wants a new contract for more than one year he can stay in Russia. |

Sobotka is way too much money for a 4th line player. I/d much rather focus on bringing Brouwer back. |

Anyone wondering how the 2014 Hawks series would have turned out with Elliott in net instead of Miller? |

Probably not that different since the entire team was injured.

No I get a migraine thinking about that balloon Miller let in for Toews in Game 3 of that series

Not really.
Go back and look at that roster.
Think back to all the injuries they had on top of that. This team is a lot different. |

Crawford should have gotten Five for fighting and a match penalty for punching with his blocker
That should have been the extent of that
Fabbri tried to miss him and Toews shoved him in to Crawford
That has been my biggest issue and maybe Jammer or another goalie can help me out
But why is the goalie ticked at the guy that is pushed in to him and not ticked at his own player for pushing him in to the tender? - sycsam
It was the knee along the back of the head after the series of elbows and knees to Crow's head in previous games going back to the regular season. Maybe the Blues give bonuses for head shots.
Crow lost his composure though and it probably hurt him later in the game. |

Better to say biggest game for this current window - sycsam
Hubrus already?
What window do you speak of? First round advances?
Win a Cup first... and show some class doing it. |

Reading through a lot of the Hawks' comments and a lot of them are pissed at the way he's lost his cool and suggesting he sit (or face discipline).
All I can say would be "great" if that happened. He's one of the guys out there that's causing havoc and making things uncomfortable for the Blues and trying to disrupt Elliot. I'd be happy to have him sitting.
He was quiet in game 1 and has been a handful since. - bcallaway
Shaw is definitely hurt but keeps fighting like a warrior. To have that call made in the final 3 mins of the game was simply incompetent. He had a right to be frustrated but still no excuse for it. A sign of exhaustion and frustration? Not just with the officiating - which was atrocious and one sided last night for the Blues - but maybe the short bench Q is using. |

Meant class as a team... and not saying the Blues haven't been classy. Just saying win a Cup and show some class while doing it.
As far as your personal comment towards me.... That pretty much confirms who you are... That, along with all the garbage about John, myself, and the other posters over on the Hawks thread you have posted the last few weeks. Reminds me of when you called Hawks fans racists in 14. But then that has been a recent theme here as well. |

Oh, sure you did. You came over to post at length about being attacked by Hawks fans at the UC for being in a mixed race relationship.
Watched 2 St. Louis drunks knock down an old lady last night and laugh at her at the UC. Does that make all Blues fans drunk elder abusers?

Funny as neither I nor my wife are anything but Caucasian
We were called a mixed race couple because they said I was a blues fan and she is a hawks fan
So I never said Hawk fans are Racists
But good try
It makes them a s s holes like the hawks fans that threw beer at my wife and I
