Joe Flacco still has a super bowl. And Matt Ryan has been a pretty damn good QB most years. Whole organization has consistency issues. You don't necessarily need that Montana or Romo for super bowl. Flacco and Ryan are both still franchise QBs which we desperately need. - arichardson22
I get that, but guys like Flacco and Ryan are available most years and you don't need to trade #8, next year's 1st/2nd and more to get them. Now, if you were trading to get an elite guy, different story. |

Montana or Romo? GTFO here. Romo's name shouldn't even be used in the same thought process as Montana, let alone paragraph or sentence. Romo is the most successful choker I've ever heard about. |

Wow. Can I borrow that crystal ball some time? - jmatchett383
There is no crystal ball. How can you be so dense not to realize that if you change something in the timeline of a game, like removing a goal, the entire game changes. It is like saying if Carlson got hurt in Game 1(before he scored) the Caps would still score on the PP. You cant say that because you dont even know if the PP happens anymore. Carlson is gone, maybe that helps Flyers add more pressure, maybe the Flyers score 1 before that PP was supposed to happen and the pressure on Manning to make that play is gone. One change no matter how small changes everything. Why is that so difficult to understand..... |

I said that neither QB projects to be the next Montana or even the next Romo. He was replying to that, not putting them in the same category. |

I'm just amazed that you know that the Flyers win Game 1 if Manning doesn't take that penalty. Maybe they score and win 1-0, maybe the Capitals win 1-0, maybe someone scores 2...how can you say, for certain, that Manning's penalty was the factor that decided if they win that game? Because according to you, they win that game if he doesn't take the penalty.
And yes, I don't know if they score if Carlson gets hurt. Maybe they don't, or maybe someone else scores. But that's exactly my point, you're saying he cost them the game with that penalty and implying that they would have won had he not taken it. Maybe he doesn't take it and they still lose. I find that to be a possibility. |

Its my biggest pet peeve with this team. I dont understand it. They totally fall apart in the final 10 minutes.. totally get away from their game plan. Hell, how many times this year did we blow a lead in the final minute with the opposition net empty? - jak521
7483992 times. i don't know how this happened because they're are only 82 games in a season. but it happened. i have links. |

in one period really. the 3rd. went from 2-1 to 6-1 all on the pp. otherwise, it's really been a close series. |

OT: Did anyone see the Indian guy sitting front row against the glass where Laughton went down? He is a FANTASTIC trauma doctor down here at Penn. Soon as I saw him I started cracking up. Figures Laughton would suffer a "trauma" in front of him. - jak521

I never said they would win, I said they could have won.... If Manning doesnt take that penalty it is a 0-0 game and the pressure is off of them to try and tie the game, maybe they score a goal, maybe they dont. The game would be different if not for that penalty |

Again, not putting them on the same pedestal. Montana is an all-time great. Romo is a good QB (put your Eagles bias aside, he's a good QB). These guys project to be solid QBs. |

You said Manning's penalty cost them the game, meaning they would have won had he not taken that penalty.
Yes, the game is different, but they could still lose regardless of that penalty.
Or, you know, maybe the PK doesn't allow them to score. So really, the PK cost them the game.
And Mason let in the goal. So Mason cost them the game.
And Manning's parents gave birth to him. If they hadn't, he wouldn't have taken that penalty. So his parents cost them the game.
No one player has ever cost anyone a game by himself, not even Michael Leighton. There were 5 players on the ice when that goal was scored, but apparently the reason for the goal rests 100% solely on the player who was not on the ice. There was 0% chance that the PK kills it or Mason makes that save...it's all Manning's fault. That is what you are saying, is it not? |
