Okay, I think I figured out the CHL import draft.....not sure anyone else is interested as I seem to be talking to myself on this one but fo what it's worth.....
Each team in the CHL is allowed to pick 2 non NA prospects and all three leagues pick from the same pool of players (no catchment regions).
The team with the worst record picks first followed by the worst in one of the other 2 leagues from then on selection is based purely on records. Once a player is selected the team often has to pay the players European team to allow that player over. - belcherbd
That's interesting...for what it's worth |

Rick Nash scored a playoff goal
For a guy that's suppose to be a scorer, he absolutely stinks in the playoffs, 12 goals now in 65 playoff games….that's pathetic!! |

I don't see it. I think Benning will stick with the top 6 pick seeing we need top level talent. - VANTEL
I think you're right on this one.
A team like Calgary on the other hand, with a good young top 6 might be more willing to make this kind of move. |

There's rumblings around Canuckland (media guys chatting with Benning & Linden) that if they don't get a top three, which they won't trade out of, that they'd consider a slight trade-down. |

I go back to Benning saying at TDL we don't want picks , we want ready now players. I think the same holds true.
If the draft is really that deep why would a GM give up two very good players for a fourth fifth or six pick? |

Especially if JB's guy is 4-5 spots past that. |

He's been their best player in this series I'd say, guess this is what they traded for as he looks good in that lineup! |

Where;s MAF? |

For those thinking trade down, our first lines contract are up in two years. I am not sure Logan Brown is the answer.
I would stick with the top 6 pick, hope Boeser can be a guy and find and develop a centre.
I still would try to trade Hansen for a first if there are any takers |

I'm thinking it's cause if were picking 4th or 5th, JB wants D and knows he can wait a few picks to get it. I agree center is what we need, next years draft
