When my mother-in-law was visiting my wife asked her if she would like to watch GoT with us. I gave her the look of "are you (frank)ing crazy".
Good episode last night. But you can tell the tone of the show is changing. The first couple of seasons were so well crafted. Flow between story lines worked really well. You could tell it was scripted from a well written novel.
Now, story lines are lurching ahead with anticlimactic outcomes. But it's still an awesome show. - bloatedmosquito
The later novels aren't that well written either. Everyone is too spread out now. You get five minutes of each storyline per episode. |

1) Chicken and egg debate. - YeOldTimer
Complete tangent but...
I wrote a paper on this once for a zoology class. It's a simple question; are you an evolutionist or a creationist?
If you are an evolutionist then it’s the egg that comes first. No debate.
If you are a creationist then it's the chicken. No debate.

Brilliantly simple for zoology, but tough to extend those theories to the NHL. It's an environment with competitive balances so it's evolutionary by nature, but then you have Gary and the Charlatans continually playing God and messing it up with their re-creationism. |

well done. The comparisons you made would make a great summer blog.
Gary and the Charlatans sounds like a poopy cover band for Doug and the Slugs. |

Hey, any of you guys pickup truck aficionados?
Need to buy a truck but not sure which way to go.
Dodge Ram?
Chev/GMC Silverado/Sierra?
Ford?
I don't want a Toyota Tundra because of the fuel usage. I want a 3+ liter with a crew cab.
Any suggestions? - bloatedmosquito
If you want fuel mileage, go RAM 1500 with the EcoDiesel. Same towing capacity as the Hemi but better fuel mileage. They have 0% financing available and factory rebates. |

Well, Gary keeps trying to hit the same high notes the NBA did in the early 90's so he's kinda like a cheap cover band. |

He was careful to put, need and not "I need something that will look good if I put horns on the roof and hang a set of balls from the rear bumper because that's how (frank)ing sweet I am" |
|
|
|
"I had a chance to speak with Dean Lombardi during the series, & he absolutely adores Lucic. I'd be shocked if a deal doesn't get done"
- Pierre Lebrun
Hopefully they lock him up so Benning doesn't even get a chance. |

I can't see them keeping Brown for that cash. Maybe he'll come to van for cheap - neem55
They'll buyout brown.
Then sign Lucic, and Lucic will be Brown 2.0 all over again for the Kings when his body breaks down at age 30.

I was going to go with a Ram but I'm now leaning towards:

Apparently, Lucic said yesterday that he is not looking at free agency and really hopes to re-sign with LA. Vancouver is not an option, according to Lucic. (Thank the handsome & youthful bearded Jesus driving around in a fully loaded Dodge Ram with monster truck tires!!) - Marwood
He's also a cowboy with a rusty voice, let's not forget. |
