I don't want Ladd. Prefer not Lucic either. Altho at a certain price maybe.

I would like to see Eriksson with the sedins. But only at a 3 year deal at Vrbata money. So thats not happening.

Draft is on the Friday. I took the day off and heading to our trailer for the weekend. Going to watch the draft around the campsite

can't wait! Hopefully its Laine being drafted by the Nucks!

That's nuts

Flyers gave Vinny Lecavalier a bunch of money at 32 or 33, five years 4.5 million cap hit, it happens all the time and Ladd will get paid.

I agree. to his credit he's been pumping out 20 goal seasons pretty consistently for about 6-7 years (minus the lockout which he might have still got 20), he brings a lot of things to a lineup. Hopefully not to Van's lineup at that price
4 years at 4 mil I'd be ok with

Ladd has two rings, I guess it depends what he wants, money or another Cup.

He would help both of those teams around the corner though, don`t you think?
I don't see either of those teams as non-playoff for much longer. Calgary is about to add to their second line that already has Sam Bennett on it... Maybe they'll trade their first for Miller and our 2nd

There's a lot of the top 16 teams who have cap space. Just look.

Not to mention a team like Buffalo, who is not a playoff team but is loaded with young elite talent. If I was a UFA I'd be looking at that. I see Canucks as going the opposite direction, hopefully only for a few years but still. We need to build the new core before trying to make the playoffs. What's the point in making the dance if you're not able to beat any of the teams?

I am more concerned about a second line LW and 4 th line LW than a first line RW.
I think with Boeser or this years pick first line is short term vacancy. I don't even mind Hansen two more years.

Have you ever been to Buffalo.

A rich young man has as much chance of picking Buffalo as city of choice as a lung cancer patient picking Bejing

Totally agree, but Ladd is listed as a LW on NHL.com. LW is the bigger hole, d the biggest. Dubois, Laine and Tkachuk are LW.

Yes I agree, he inherited a bit of a mess and he's done well in his 23 months on the job. I just sincerely hope he doesn't overpay to get a UFA to sign onto a rebuilding team in Vancouver.

No UFA worth his weight in gold is gonna sign in Vancouver to lose. Unless it's his hometown

- LeftCoaster

Truthfully, I have no problem overpaying Erikkson. We could use some veteran scoring with the Sedins to help get us back to the playoffs. We have cap space, why not use it?
