Not JB's boy anymore. He was part of the garbage 7 for a reason
- CanuckDon

We will see. He's young , he's cheap , can skate good and has a history with JB . He pulled a lot of minutes after TDL. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back .

Washington moves on in another nail biter. Now they face Crosby. NBC executives have been taken off suicide watch. They might even get some viewers for that series!

With regards to Carol mention AV got outcoached, I didn't watch a ton of that series, but when you are getting blown out repeatedly, I think the players have to wear most of that. If you switched the rosters, AV wins that series.

The Blues are up against it now! They need their own Dragon Slayer to emerge. Blowing a 2 goal lead is not a good sign. That's going to be a hell of a game 7.

Lol no doubt Gary and his band of idiots at NBC can breathe a sigh...be nice to see the Cros punt OvenChicken out!!

It's a process, like Vantel said earlier today, Benning has only been in Vancouver for 23 months, he took over a poopshow, it's gonna take a lot more time to fix this. Draft develop and when the time is right, supplement those draft picks with trades and UFA's.

Three trades that I think willbe good for a couple of years .
Kesler for Sutter MCCann and Dorsett.
Etem for Jensen . If Etem can remembers to go to the net I think he will be veryuseful as a bottom 6.

Sven for a second. I think he can provide a few20 goal years.

Benning said when he came in that we will get younger faster stronger bigger. He kept his promise.

He had aging players to trade with but did. We have said it many times , we don't have the parts to trade with , but he did.

He brought in three surprise nuggets with Tryamkin Demko and Boeser.

Maybe next time Linden should hire Jesus to be the next GM

My opinion is its gonna take five years of building before you see the team be competitive. Sure they can muddle around near the wildcard spot but they've gotta continue to draft well no matter where they select.

You've gotta have a good 1/2 center combination, offence from a number one dman and goaltender first and foremost. Other things fore sure, but those are my "must haves".

The Flyers have Giroux and B. Schenn as their 1/2 centers, they barely made it and got their asses handed to them in the first round. Hank and Sutter aren't nearly as good IMO as those two.

The sooner they can replace, with better younger centers, Henrik and Sutter the better off they'll be.

Schenn is over rated . Flyers are a mystery. They have a well formed team but go nowhere.

Bo will be a top centre

Yeah 5-6 years, they may make the playoffs but it will be like Calgary last year or Colorado. I'm happy as long as they keep drafting like they are.

Schenn is a really good 24 year old center, who also plays wing, who just had a career year, 26 goal 33 assist 59 point +3 season is better than any season Sutter has ever put up.

His career high is 40 points his second season FYI.

Edit: Flyers are not well constructed, their defence is terrible!!

They won't even make the playoffs unless they sign Stamkos and Eriksson this off-season.

The target should be win the cup, but yeah. I don't see playoffs but we don't know the roster for next year so it's impossible to predict where they'll finish, but as is I think we pick 8-12 next year.

Yup just keep drafting well. Next year, if things don't change much, I suspect they finish in the 8 to 12 range regarding the draft. Before lotto of course.

Here's a guy, Vantel, who said the Oilers were making the playoffs the last two seasons and they finished third and second last. So take what he says with a large grain of salt, his assessments of talent isn't the greatest.

The goal should be to continue to draft develop and make your team better on a continual basis thru the draft.
