Forwards peak at 16, so good luck with those guys on the decline - PhillySportsGuy
True.....
Ill leave you folks alone for the off season...the only thing I wanted to really get into here was the fact that NOONE is holding Giroux's feet to the fire for ONE point amazes me.....I thought you were better fans than that...
If my captain and #1 center did that..hed have a bulleye on his face...
He TRULY learned NOTHING from Briere about fighting through it.
Good Luck on your trade pursuit of Mc David |

"Buffalo and Tim Murray are infallible and can do no wrong. Flyers are the worst. Your team and GM can't do anything right and will forever be horrible".
That's pretty much what youre getting at right? - Mordecai
No no no...the message is clearly that we are all biased Flyer fans and cannot see the obvious signs of doom staring us right in the face, and it is clear to the unbiased observer that the Buffalo Sabres franchise is in a better position to succeed because the most unbiased part time Hockeybuzz commenter/part time NHL scout said so, unbiasedly |

Florida just ended the playoffs with the same record as the Flyers. Yeah, they are so much further ahead with all of those lottery picks. Pittsburgh, Chicago, Tampa, you get lucky when you have the best pick and there is a game changer to select. That's not the case every year.
Dallas has made a good amount of trades to get where they are. They aren't built off of all of their own picks.
I'll tell you what, when Buffalo is a competitive team again and at the same time the Flyers are bottom feeders, come let me know and I will tell you you were right. - funmaster18

That's the thing.
I want size with skill.
Jody Shelly was big just not skilled.
A guy like Pat Maroon would interest me if he was an UFA. Has skill and is big.
Also why a guy like Martel intrigues me from the phantoms because he has skill and elite speed. - J35Bacher
Yes, Maroon is basically Sam Gagner with size, so I wouldn't be opposed to him. Just saying that, if I can have Tom Wilson or either of the guys taken after him (Hertl and Teravainen), I'm taking the latter both times. Targeting size is how you end up with guys like Garrett Klotz instead of guys like Alex Killorn. |

Thank you...no one gives a poop about what you think of the Flyers or their captain. Especially thankful for your advice on how to be a fan. You must truly be one if you can stomach how terrible the Sabres are |

no what I'm gettng at is its been 5+ years of the Giroux, Simmonds, and Vorachek leadership running the show for you guys and they have got NOTHING done...meanwhile....Richards and Carter have rings...Kane and Toews have rings....
Those three have ...in the end....accomplished as much as Pomminville, Vanek, and Derek Roy...
"what I'm getting at" is...its in the best interest of the Flyers to deal those guys...suffer for a year or two and land TRUE top end talent. |

What do you think will happen with Schenn? I wonder what Hextall is really thinking. Did Schenn turn the corner or was this just a career year for a player wanting big money?

To be fair, I think Jake and G are in pretty committed relationships. Could be getting married soon. Not sure why thats relevant to hockey though |

Yeah, the improved from laughably pathetic to simply horrible. Hats off boys, you may move up to relevant in 4-5 years.
And for the record, while Crosby didn't make the playoff his first year, he did make it in his second, while both Malkin and Stall made it in their first year. So I fully expect the Sabres to make the playoffs next year since you used the Penguins as a direct comparison. |

I was hoping and praying for a game 7, and for them not to lose on home ice. If we would have gotten to game 7 however we would have lost.
You know that your team is fighting a losing battle when you get down 1-0 in the 2nd period and you think to yourself, this one's over because your 1st line offense and pp effectiveness have completely evaporated and Neuvy can't score. |
