Guys..SERIOUSLY...you need top REALLY address the top end talent of this team...
Eichel is ALREADY better than ANYONE on your team....
Reinhart is better than any prospect you have
And Risto is better than any defenseman you have...
Id be careful throwing rocks for a team that just got SMOKED.
but hey...Gothesbiere is the next Paul Coffey...its not like hes a flash in the pan like Mike Green or anything. Build around him..an Offensive defenseman. It works well, just ask Ottawa and Phoenix - Ripped Fuel
I just called up on Fan 590 and told the host it was always my dream to move to Buffalo because of all the potential talent they have. Stanley Cup HERE WE COME! WOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Calling the moving company now, and changing my fav team. Can I stay with you Ripped?

I was hoping and praying for a game 7, and for them not to lose on home ice. If we would have gotten to game 7 however we would have lost.
You know that your team is fighting a losing battle when you get down 1-0 in the 2nd period and you think to yourself, this one's over because your 1st line offense and pp effectiveness have completely evaporated and Neuvy can't score. - Hextall271
We all know for damn sure that Neuvy scored last night |

Beware the troll that cheers for a crap team and suggests how your team should emulate his team's plan to rebuild. |

I think he deserves to get paid. If they can get him at $5M for 5 years, I'd do it. - jmatchett383
What if him and his team want something like 6? I know the Flyers hold the leverage of an RFA.
I do worry if he can continue to be consistent. But I also would like to see him and Couturier with a guy like Konecny for extended time. I think that could be a good line. |

Time to watch my #2 team
...until next year......these guys will see ya soon....

Crosby was drafted 2005, missed the playoffs his first year and made it his second season. Pens lost in the Conference quarterfinals having only won 1 game.
So it seems teams that build into contenders, regardless of the method of building they use, usually need a year of playoff experience before they really make noise in the playoffs.
What Buffalo has to look forward to prior to the consecutive Cup parades is making the playoffs and probably losing in the first round. |

Another GM could fall in love with him, but the Flyers could have even more leverage because any concerns the Flyers have to pay him might be more concerning for another GM that has to pay him and trade picks for him with an offer sheet |

See, I can watch the playoffs and hope certain teams win or lose, but to have a second favorite team is very much like being a Leafs fan. They have the Leafs and a playoff team that they cheer for. |

Not sure why but I worry that this contract is going to be a pain. I would be ecstatic if they can get him something comparable to Couturier's deal.

I don't really have a rooting interest. Once the Flyers lose I just want a team from the West to win so I don't have to hear eastern conference fans. |

Well, I'm married to a Penguins fan, so I hope they win for her. Other than that, Nashville and anyone but Chicago. |

Absolutely fine. We went to a game in Pittsburgh last year (wearing our respective jerseys) and Doc Emrick stopped by our table at the restaurant we were at and asked how long we expected to stay together. Although, when they play each other in the playoffs, it gets testy. |

Canada considering Giroux, Schenn, Simmonds for Worlds. Will wait until 1st rnd is complete. Likely add 2 F, 2 D and another goalie.

Anyone not excited by the influx of talent that should hit in the next year or two with Provorov (legit number 1 dman prospect), Sanheim, Morin, Koencny plus the second level of prospects that they have is clearly just looking for a reason to cry about the Flyers.
I hate that they lost, I'm so over not seeing a cup. Im 100% happy with the effort , happy they won 2 games against the best team in the league. Even more impressive to me when they did that without MDZ , Couturier and clearly with our two best forwards dealing with something.
Im comfortable with Hak as the coach and the job Hexy is doing . If they can do it without crippling themselves i would love to see a run at Stamkos. If you can roll a top 6 out there of Giroux, Stamkos, Simmonds, Schenn, Voracek and Couturier Ill take that every night. I think they need size and toughness right now more though. If the toughest player on your team is your best goal scorer then that is a problem.
Overall a successful season given what our expectations were but in the end the only thing that matters is winning a cup. Primarily because it would annoy Team Negative so much for that to happen. |

Is Read back next season? I know he has a contract but I think they have to what they can to move him. Also I feel the Flyers have role players in Lehigh that can fill his role.
Leier
Bardreau
Martel
McDonald
And if they can sign Caggulia.
