It was an ugly game, only a couple steps up from last game until late in the 3rd. But I just can't bring myself to be upset or disappointed. I'm very at peace with this season. - Mononoke
so ugly the worlds best team ever beat them 1-0
the pens will slaughter them if they aren't ready |

Lets hope not. I have now entered the "anybody but Crosby and the Pens" phase of the post-season.
Now that the Flyers are out, I'm almost pulling for the Caps. I'd actually like to see Florida come out of the East and see old man Jagr get another shot at a cup. In the west, I would not mind the Sharks.
Was a good Season for the Flyers. Ahead of expectations and battling hard. Definitely some work to do but I was glad to sport my Flyers cap all day despite the series results. Definitely enjoyed the season. |

yeah. its hard. i dont see a ton of guys out there. its so hard to get legitimately better through FA anymore. the flyers definitely need one more top six impact forward. ideally a second center would be great, but i do think coots can be the second line center if a good enough winger is brought in. i know he is a douchebag but i still think james neal would be perfect for this team. - stayinthefnnet
I think Konecny is in the top six next year |

Bill Meltzer: Wrapup: Caps 1-0 Win in Game 6 Ends Flyers' Season - bmeltzer
I think this offseason will be a real challenge for Hextall. In two full seasons we have seen positive steps of improvement. Now I think it's time to add. Claude Giroux is still a number one center but the sole focus of every opposing opponent. He's getting beat up and we're less of a threat when teams physically take him out of a game. With this said, Simmonds and Schenn had career highs, while Giroux and Voracek produced declining numbers. Most believe Ivan Provorov will be ready next season, which makes him an upgrade on defense. I think it's absolutely competitive to upgrade on the left side, while deciding whether or not if we're moving forward with Couturier as our second line center or possibly going balls out for Stamkos. Stamkos or not, we have to move on from guys like Read and Gagner and upgrade the offense. The draft selections look promising and are close to being ready. I believe it's time to make key trades and selective signings. |

Four points in six games from your "leaders"....and no lottery pick coming....good luck next year. |

Because the cash strapped Canadian teams at the bottom of the standings want nothing more than to trade a super talented kid on a rookie contract for fading veterans that make big salaries and haven't won anything.. |

God, I've missed you.
Outside of Buffalo, the Flyers have more picks this year than anyone. Multiple picks in 2nd, 3rd & 4th round give them ammo to move up, plus there's a bevy of young prospects that could be used to get into top 10 or maybe even top five. |

The Caps could've waited around for guys like Madison bowey and maybe put a lot of stock into a Connor Carrick who had a big AHL season as a 20 yoa but they didn't signing niskanen, orpik, Williams among others. I think the flyers have the cap room now and in the future as well as the need to sign 2 substantial ufa's to help play a key role. 1 dman and 1 forward I'd like to see |

Well I'll caveat it.
I want him at 10 and under. If he is getting 12 then I would say no.
Other then him not really any UFAs that interest me at what they could cost.
Also wouldn't mind a guy like Kassian or Martin. |

I'll enjoy seeing the Pens clean the ice with the Caps' faces |

Good effort by the Flyers. Showed a lot of guts, could have packed the tents up after game 3. Nuevirth was amazing. That has to be the best 3 games a Flyers goaltender has played consecutively in franchise history. Just incredible.
With a better PP, and more production from the top players they might have stole the series. Hopefully Hexy can add just one forward who can put the puck in the net. Team desperately needs it. |
