I'd give Gruden part ownership in the team for him to be head coach. - SABRES 89
that's crazy talk...not the coaching part, the ownership part...been a buffalo bills/sabres fan all my life, and that includes the era when the dolphins ruled and the juice was loose, but the team went nowhere...through ground chuck and the Bermuda triangle, hank bullough, kay Stephenson and the red helmets...all of it ugly including the superbowl losses which showed that there's more to winning a superbowl than having a hall of fame quarterback, running back, wide receiver an defensive end all on the same team...
I like how the bills have been building since whaley took the reigns as gm |

[quote=homiedclown]pens will be good
caps will be good
panthers will be good
islanders will be good
bolts will be good
flyers are a question mark
I do see the rangers, wings take a dip and I think the bruins will drop off as well
this group will not be an upper tier team for a few years w/o 3 additions and solid goalie play
as of now they are a bubble playoff team IMO for 16-17 - gerbe75pts[/
Sabres should be the fav to win the east next year if we get the player
This looks right. I expected better from the Panthers, thats the only series i picked wrong so far. Hoping ducks finish off preds as i picked them to win it all. Are the isles really much better than buffalo? It looks like buffalo with tavares and a little better d. Hopefully we upgrade our d, and eichel takes the next step. Plus isles might lose okposo |

The fact that these guys continue to joke and talk about winning the lottery is embarrassing.

And I honestly could care less about the Oilers I hope they win the draft lottery
I have no idea how you could keep coming in last place with the team they have |

"Fun" Oilers notes:
Since 2007, the Oilers have had 9 top 15 draft picks.
The positions of those picks: 1, 1, 1, 1, 3, 6, 7, 10, 15
7 straight seasons picking in the top 10 (1, 1, 1, 1, 3, 7, 10)
Number of d-men drafted with any of those top 15 picks: 2 - Darnell Nurse and Alex Plante (Plante played 10 NHL games in 3 seasons with Edmonton after being drafted 15th overall in 2007)
Lowest point total since 2006/07 season (skipping short season in all these): 62 (3 times)
Highest point total since 2006/07 season: 88 (2 year anomaly where they had 88/85 points, more wins than losses)
Average point total since 2006/07 season: 76
Highest point total not including those 2 anomaly seasons: 74
Average point total not including those 2 anomaly seasons: 67
That's 10 seasons, starting with their 1st after the Stanley Cup loss in 2006. All of those opportunities and it hasn't helped them.

You know what's the worst about those S.O.B. in Edmonton? Even if they fall to 5th in the draft they still won't take a defensemen. |

I think a lot of people are holding the ej pick and the Watkins trade against him...
as for gruden, hats off to him for taking the team he inherited to the superbowl...would he do the same in buffalo?...not sure he has the pieces like they had in tampa...after they won in 2003, they made the playoffs twice in six years and never got out of the wild card game
my bad...crazy talk might have been a bit strong, but imo, chuckie ain't worthy of partial ownership |
