ask this before but left can we trade. for stamkos rights if tampa does not make the ECF that day? - gerbe75pts
For the last time.
The Trade deadline is only for players to be eligible for post season play.
Any team can make a trade at any time post deadline day.
The players moved are ineligible for post season play.
The league frowns on trades being made during the playoffs as it takes away from the teams that are still playing.
These are called cliff notes.

it always begins with the franchise quarterback thing...that's all they talk about on wgr...
the team has playmakers in McCoy, Watkins and to an extent, clay...their linbackers are weak because they traded their best one away to get McCoy...
- Michael Pachla
Alonso - 11 GP last season with Philly, only 1 start. Already off the team and in Miami now. |

Who is the top ranked rhd? Sergachyov plays the right side but hes left handed (so ive read). Does edmonton take another lhd and move somebody to the right? They have nurse and klefbom- both lefties. Not defending them, they should have drafted bpa like they did, and then move somebody to fill a position of need. Chiarelli will fix it is my guess, but im not gonna be surprised if they draft tkatchuk if hes on the board. - rover16
Odds are they pick top 3. IMO the most beneficial move for this team would be to trade out of the top 3 and get the defensemen they need/covet in the 5-10 range. They can probably pick up another 1st for moving down or even another blue chip prospect to help them long term.
What really needs to be done though, is P.C. needs to decide who his centers are going to be, Mcdavid #1 obviously, but make a decision on Leon or RNH as #2 and move one of them for a top pair guy to play with Nurse.
I'm not going to research it too much, but just off the top of my head what if Edmonton could make a move like moving pick #2 to Arizona for pick #7 and #22? They could draft Joulevi, Sergachev, Bean at #7 and still get a forward at #22. The #7 pick can take on bottom pairing minutes next year while they move RNH to a team, lets say, Anaheim for Lindholm? Nurse and Lindholm as a top pair look pretty solid with an offense that can get the team 5 per game. Maybe somebody will be willing to take a shot at Yak and trade a vet 3-5 guy for him, bringing in some added stability to the Edmonton defense. |

I understand that these guys had good college years last year, but how good can they be?
Third liners? Top Line players?
- ImThatGuy
Top6 potential for sure
Maybe not right away though
Nashville was set to add Vesey to one of their top2 lines for the playoffs without being on the team all season...
So that should tell u something about him at least
Caggiula is on the small side,
So it's possible it takes him a bit to adjust to the NHL
Very talented though
There's a reason we invited him to camp a few years ago,
And he's progressed every year since
His NCAA tourney performance, esp the Frozen Four, was pretty awesome

I like everything u said there,
Except they have no reason to trade down
Pick a top forward in the draft if they're top3
Trade RNH for a top defenseman
Trade Yakupov for a solid 2nd pair vet
That gives them a solid top4 defense
And adds elite talent to the forwards to replace losing RNH
Btw...
Whoever does trade for RNH is going to love that deal
Nashville should really consider it.
If they can build a package around Ekholm (who I'd love or get) or Ellis, that would be a great move since they'd lose one of them in the expansion draft anyways
Adding a 2nd center like that takes them from solid playoff team to potential Cup contender IMO
I almost picked them to beat the Ducks too...
But Rinne has been so hot & cold I had to go with Anaheim
Can't wait for game7!!! |

keep going
this team is in cap hell with no franchise qb, and if you think taylor is the franchise, there is no money to sign him
team has had no depth for last 3 years
below average o line
maybe the worst group of lb's in the afc
pay all that money for the d line for next to no sacks last year
the ej thing is a mistake
the watkins thing is a mistake
the other issues, is being a bad gm with the roster and the cap IMO - homiedclown
you realize the bills will have over 50 million in cap space next year (as of now)
why is the watkins thing a mistake he is probably the best player on offense.
not hard to pay all that money when "the guy" doesn't show up to play all year. and he is off to a wonderful start by not showing up in Miami. |
