Maybe its me, but Hayes its his 2nd year. After what he did his rookie year you are willing to get rid of him after a sophomore slump? The guy has the tools to be that big center everyone wants, yet after a bad 2nd year everyone wants him gone.
Thats (frank)ing nuts.

Tom has been claiming Joe Thornton will decline for about 5 years now, so clearly he's just dumb |

If Kreider remembers for next season how to score on breakaways, he'll net 30...book it.
- mames11
He supposed to do that this year........
Hope for Gropp and Buchnevich to be snipers. |

If you do that, do you re-sign Yandle and move Skjei or someone else to the right side? Or do you let Yandle walk, and sign another right side defensemen? Who? I have no idea. Haven't looked at the free agent list to closely yet. - Pete V

I hear you.
The other day we were talking about some of the players. How can you have a bad year? Bad game, or a few bad games, but a whole year? Must get mental after a bad stretch, then can't shake it I guess. |

He is. This year was the first year he was 1.0 ppg or better since 2009-10. They had to move him to the wing to get him scoring again. |

if Yandle is going to stay, he is going to have to take less than he can get on the open market regardless who they buyout or trade
I have no doubts he could get Letang $$$ somewhere else while at the same time I have no doubt the Rangers would never give him 7 mil a year |

Yeah, you always here the sophomore slump in almost every sport. I'm willing to keep him though, if he figures it out with the tools he has, I think he can easily be a top line center. Has some of the best hands on the team with the puck and is extremely good protecting it. Has very good vision too. Needs to work on his FO's and defense though. Which is kind of odd because his rookie year he was great away from the puck and was always stealing the puck. |

Kreider's done enough like Hayes to be an enigma. This team outside of Lundqvist doesn't have one of the leagues best players at their positions. So what are they doing just handing in the balance of mediocrity? Why lavish in place where some people they'll get better and some people think they won't? Just tear it down and rebuild it. |

So whats the mood over there? Positive, negative, somewhere in between. Have a feeling Kucherov will light you guys up unless Cappy figures out who to match up with him. |

I would give him another year. Both Hayes and Kreider. If either of them play to their potential, look out. I could see one or both going at the draft though. |

Meh. Same as with Florida. I know we're entirely capable of beating Tampa. Whether we do or not is another story.
Greiss and Tavares will have to continue doing what they did last series or we're screwed. Need some of the passengers, like Nelson, to get their act together.
Tampa doesn't exactly scare me, but they have a more balanced team than Florida. The Panthers' bottom-6 was hot garbage. Lightning are capable of rolling all four lines.
We'll need to exploit some of their weaker defensemen, like Carle. Outside of Hedman, and with Stralman out, I'm not really intimidated by a single other defenseman on that roster. I bet you'll see Prince show off some of that speed on slow-footed turds like Coburn and Carle. Hell, the last time we played Matt Martin flew by Carle, which is pretty sad.
We didn't have too much trouble solving Bishop this season, but obviously the playoffs are a different beast. So I don't really have an opinion on him. I know he's really good, but we had a lot of success against him this year. |

I'm gonna say Tampa in 6 based on the more balanced team coming into the series. Not taking anything away from you guys beating the Panthers, but like you said, Tampa can pretty much roll 4 lines all game, and you guys were the Greiss/JT show.
Like you said though, if someone picks it up besides JT, could go either way. |
