Lucic already said he doesn't want to play anywhere but LA. Can't imagine they don't find a way to re-sign him. - eichiefs9
Or go home to Vancouver I heard as a possibility..... |

Edmonton would be dumb to move Eberle, Pouliot (salary retained) and a first for Rick Nash. Nash doesn't carry that value first of all. Not even close. Secondly, Edmonton will be looking to move pieces for DEFENSE, which Rick doesn't play. They will be moving wingers for that help, probably not centers.
Rick Nash right now is an incredibly overrated player by many. His value isn't high. Remember, he has only had one 70 plus point season in his career and that was back in 08-09.
I wouldn't give up a first round pick for Rick Nash at this juncture. Edmonton sure won't. At 7.8 million for the next two years ... that is a pass. |

I mean he publicly announced that he wanted to stay with LA. I can't imagine he is dying to go home and sign in the ever-burning tire fire that is Vancouver. |

what would Ranger fans want from winnipeg in a stepan trade? i dont think the jets would be giving up one of their best prospects but what about petan or burmistrov plus their later first round pick this year ( 22nd overall ) |

[quote=RangerFan1110]Good article Jan after 43 years of being a Ranger fan and only winning one Stanley Cup its sad to say how much easier it is getting not to win it all since you just don't expect it, you hope and pray for it.

Not bad... I think the kids (Skunk and Eichel) would be coming off their ELC's at the same time his contract is up.

Is Foligno a forever saber? Because he's from there and his dad and what not. Nash for him would interest me. I always liked him |

Rangers had this kid in camp last year and failed to sign him.....now this
Penguins have signed undrafted free agent D Lukas Bengtsson to ELC. Big playoff w/Frolunda, lots of interest. Great skater. High hockey IQ. |

I found it kinda interesting (I know I'm a day late) that the Daily News ripped Dan Boyle apart for his exit interview and the Post didn't even mention it. Especially considering it was Brooks and Cyrgalis he was going after.
Anyway, a great blog as usual Jan. One of the better writers on this site. |

My thinking on Nash is no matter what we get is a bonus so long as they get rid of the contract. That's the value in trading him. I would do that deal. Young 6'3 winger, dog on the puck, forechecker ..we just don't have those kinds of players |

When he wants to be yes.... He's invisible for the majority of the time. I wish he'd take the next step but he looks like a 4th liner or borderline 3rd line player.
Contract year so he seemed to kick it up a notch at the end...
Edit: I was a big fan of his Father back in the day... But some think he's only here because of that last name. |

3rd liner yea, wasn't thinking anymore then that. He just always gives the Rangers fits, So I guess not all the time. Don't see all saber games obviously haha |

Good blog Jan, I thought Torts was zone and AV was man on man. I don't think other then McDonagh and now Skjei that they have the foot speed for man on man. - mdw7413
Thanks MDW. I thought that was the case but kept doubting myself as to the info |

So if AV gets fired is Lundqvist a coach killer like sid for being on his fourth coach in the NHL? You know like many rags fans came to the pens boards to say. |
