Thats all we need, not one, but TWO aging stars about to turn 36 this year to retire on Broadway, doubling down on bad mistakes. Throw them in the heap with the rest of them.. Richards, St Louis, Boyle.
- MiloslavHorava
I like whoever suggested that the team write a rule about not signing/acquiring any player over age 30-32 unless it is for a 1-2 yr deal at a reasonable cap hit. Can Gordon right that down on a wall somewhere? |

I wish they would
Edit: Sedins for Brassard & Nash? - LeftCoaster
I just think that Rangers are gonna try n trade for them, based on the theory of wanting a major shakeup. Just remember you heard from me before anyone, I want the credit haha. Wether it's a good move or not I'm not sure. Just a hunch that it happens. History shows Rangers do that sorta thing

Well I wouldn't go that far but both teams are certainly in a similar predicament. - Maskdman3
Canucks have picked five times in the first round the past three years, plus a great chance at a top three pick this year, not to mention they picked Demko in the second round and signed him.
I don't think the two teams are in a similar situation at all. The Sedins will (hopefully) be gone when these picks start to come into their own in three years.
The Rangers haven't had a first round pick in three years and this year they have neither a first or a second round pick. |

If it happens, you will get all credit
But let's not bring it up at all anymore unless it happens |

Boyle's outrage is on tsn.ca too. It's funny how Larry Brooks gets under peoples skin. I remember Torts had it out with him, too. Though I recall Tortorella handling it much more civilized that Boyle did. |

The fact that he's praying that they do dump the Sedins should be enough of a red flag for all of us |

I could see a big move being made for JVR this offseason to be honest |

I mostly just meant 12-14 million in cap space tied up in players that do not produce that level of results.
Nash+Girardi for the Sedins and I'm in. Throw in Staal for a pick/prospect. Good luck getting everyone to waive clauses and whatnots |

Can we convince the Pens to take M Staal and get Hagelin back? Sell them that this way Staal won't "nearly decapitate" Crosby anymore.
There again Staal did try to gouge Hank's eye out so there's that... |

They're still good players, Dany had 28 goals this year, 61 pts, Henrik was hurt most of the year and he still put up 55 pts.
Just like to see some kind of return while they're still decent players. Canucks are rebuilding, what's the point of having them in a rebuild. |

Rangers have been inquiring about him for years now
He's definitely a target they'd love to acquire. Could see them overpaying to get him this season as a shakeup. - rangerdanger94
All teams would covet him, and honestly without a #1 pick very hard to acquire a player on a friendly contract.... |

They had 111 points on a poopty team between them? How many did Nash have on a good team? |
