Can we atleast agree a 9pm start would be best? Thats 6pm on the West coast, gives people time to get out of work, drop off poop at the house, pick up the kids and head to the game. Ya it might not be super full at the very beginning, but half way through the first you'd fill it up.

Of course it would but the east coast game wouldn't be over. It all comes down to there being a round 2 game starting the same day as round 1 game 7.

I think there had to be a scheduling conflict or something at the arena

Because it's easier to do it this way. The NBA has been doing this for years with the next round starting before the first one is over. It's one day, big (frank)ing deal. And yeah it's a west coast thing. Plain and simple. Whether you(not you you, but feetontheair) like it or not that's why the game is on at 10pm eastern. It's not the Cup finals. When LA was in it they started at 8:30 eastern I believe? Maybe 9? I'm pretty sure they were on at 8 eastern last year with Chicago and Tampa to accommodate the west coast a bit more than a 4 pacific start would be.

Ya the fact that we have 2 rounds going on at the same time is a whole nother bag of Richards...

And even if they did start at 9...that puts the game ending at what..about 1230?...a 10pm start has a game 7 ending at 130am on the east coast!

Do they want to get people excited about the sport or not? B/c making them stay up til 130 in the morning on a week night is the wrong way to go about it.

Check your math...
Normal games go 2.5-3hours, not 3.5 hours

And the game is in Anaheim
It's more important to start the game out there at 7pm then cater to ppl on the East coast that can't stay up late

Stop whining (hahaha)
Just kidding
But really... Idk what u expect them to do?

Ahh, Garry Galley. I got his autograph at one of the Sabres fairs on my first Sabres jersey also on there are Miro Satan, Alexi Zhitnik and I'm blanking on the last 2. It was the season LaFontaine missed a ton of time because of the concussion and you couldn't get anywhere near his scrum. '97 I think.

Can't please everyone I don't think it's that big of a deal you don't se us complaining when there's a 12 o'clock game East Coast time for a playoff game on Saturday and Sunday
- GERBE!!!75PTS

Or how about 10am NFL games?

Sorry Pach, gotta bust your balls about the Melrose thing. The same guy that didn't want Stamkos and then barely gave him any ice time leading to his firing after only 16 games because he was so awful would not be a good co-host. Tappen would be pretty good, she knows her stuff.

Also I have a feeling they're going through the whole list. It would be interesting once someone was skipped, then you know they're in the top 3.

There's a noon eastern game on Thanksgiving isn't there? I'd be SOL. It's hard enough to wake up for the F1 races that are on at 10am for me. I like the late night ones that are on at like 2am, I can watch those, but I miss most of the season because there is no (frank)in way I'm waking up at 7:30 am.

They're not going to do anything crazy, and I think that creates the most tension, unless it goes 1, 2, 3, but the odds are too high to make that probable. Someone is going to move up from 6-10, hopefully it's us.

Can someone please explain to me why the (frank) a game 7 is on at 10pm and a game 1 is on at 7pm

And don't give me this west coast/east coast bullpoop...a game 7 should be in a prime time slot

God damn the NHL is stupid some times.

- feetontheair22

Simple. A 7 PM start in Anaheim is at 4 PM local time. People won't even be out of work yet.
