I'm not really on the trade Nash bandwagon. I think the guy is still a really this hockey player. I'd like to keep him to be honest. - rangerdanger94
He is going to have a good year next year. Like Jimbo was saying every other year he is good.
I would like to add a 2nd/1st line scoring winger who could also play very physical.
Defense I think it will be the same with Yandle and Boyle gone, and McIlrath and Skjei taking their spots unless Girardi gets bought out.
Pretty much see the same team as this year with minor changes.
Moore gone, give Lindberg the 4th line center spot. |

I think the Rangers should adopt the Triangle system. Worked for the Knicks |

I think our bottom 6 will be an area of focus. Wouldn't be surprised to see players such as Helm, Cogliano, and McGinn targeted via free agency. And I'm really expecting one of the big 3 RFAs to be dealt. |

Total pipe dream and completely hypothetical, but what would you guys think of trading McDonagh for Taylor Hall and then signing Yandle to a long term extension?
Have Yandle - Skjei - Staal down the left side, which is still solid depth, and Taylor Hall up front. - rangerdanger94

It just sounds like some massive personal changes could happen from reading the writers and listening to AVs end of the season presser. I honestly don't know what to think. |

Yea if you trade McDonagh, you pretty much have to trade Nash and just cut bait on contracts. |

I get it...but I don't think they should trade McDonagh. i am cool with shipping out Nash/Girardi/Staal, Hayes (fight me MDW), Klein (in the right deal), Brassard (ditto) to cut some of those contracts |

yeah trade $4.7 for the next 3 years for $6 mil over the next 4 and sign Yandle for $6-7, say bye bye to the RFA's |

Who knows.
Here is who I would definitely like to see back.
Defense: McDonagh, Klein, Skjei, McIlrath
Offense: Stepan, Zucc, Miller, Nash, Fast, Lindberg, Stalberg, Hayes
On the fence with Kreider & Brassard
I wouldn't mind seeing a 3rd line of Kreider/Hayes/Fast and a 4th line of Stalberg/Lindberg/And yes Glass will be back next year
Top 2 lines have to get figured out.

Literally all our RFAs blow. JT Miller included with his 5 goals in the last 29 games of the regular season and being held pointless in 4 of the 5 games against Pitt.
F them all. |

The Rangers would save almost a million bucks throwing Glass in hartford, I think that is what they do if they can't trade him. |

Trade Nash
Buy out Girardi
Resign Kreider, Miller,Hayes and Mcilrath
Go after 1 of Mcginn, Purcell, Okposo and 1 of Demers or Russell if we don't land a D in a deal for Nash

You'd have to replace him though with another player. Savings go down (or disappear completely) depending on that players cap hit. But at the same time you're likely getting a better player. |

I'd definitely be on board with going for Okposo, I think he's perfect, right handed shooting physical winger who can score, but I think he's gonna be too rich for Rangers blood |

Would you rather have Nash, the proven 40 goal scorer, for 7.8M a year for 2 more years or Okposo/Lucic for 6.5M a year over the next 7 years?
You free up money trading Nash to overpay a worse forward. |
