Some people are lazy f*cks, I agree. They need to have an exit strategy. But others need assistance, people with mental health problems, single moms, etc. - sbroads24
it's a ripple effect
girl sees mommy living off the government and does the same

On the lazy topic, the biggest problem is the percentage of people that when you ask them what they want to do with their lives, the answer is nothing but sleep.
I have a couple of friends who are like that, and even though they work, that mentality is never changing.
not as much, our government let us down by not making it a level playing field where it's ok to keep your company here - homiedclown
I've always laughed at those that believe giving breaks to big businesses will have a trickle down effect on employees for those businesses as those businesses prove time and again all they care about is the almighty dollar and literally nothing else, aside from window dressing for positive press from time to time.

Well those businesses basically bribe the gov't to continue the status quo
That side takes WAY more advantage of the system than these ppl on welfare u talk about
Like I said before, what u bring up does need to be addressed...
But there's infinitely more money on the other side of the spectrum
And addressing that would actually make a difference

right now, companies are leaning toward hiring temps, to avoid paying health insurance
those that do pay health insurance, are paying less and employees are paying more
it's more of a mess then people admit
my health insurance has tripled in the last 4 years and the coverage is ten times worse

It all needs to be addressed, but the problem is it is only addressed without actual real, intelligent action taken to begin correcting these issues because it pays more to just talk about it, get elected every term, and keep going to the bank endlessly.

Can we ship everyone like that to Mars? - kingcong39
I agree, but the fantasy of "Work hard, study and you'll go places" is so overplayed and just not true anymore in this country.
I work in student loans, there are millions of kids who spent thousands and went to school for years, who are in the exact same situation and the lazy person who wants to sleep all day.
Even for them, they can go to work for 30k a year, spend 8 grand of that on student loan payments, and get close to nowhere, or they can live off the government, and not pay their student loans.
