I'm not great at stats but let's say the odds of stamkos are 20% and the sabres have what, a 15% chancer of getting a top 3 pick I believe? That means .25 * .15 and you're looking at a 3.75% chance of getting both. We just lost two lotteries with odds closer to 20%. Just don't give yourself enough rope to hang yourself with

Lost in all of this was if Holzinger had cleared him out from in front of the net, or if they could have mustered more than 1 goal in the previous 120 minutes of playing time, it would have been irrelevant.
