Would anybody be upset if our #8 pick dropped down 3 spots because 3 teams behind us won all 3 lottery picks? I think at first it would stink, but knowing that the leafs, oilers and Canucks all drop as well would be good to see. Unless of course Boston, Montreal or Ottawa were the 3 winners.

If the Sharks don't get there this year, they never will.

I'm torn on moving for Thornton. On one hand, I agree he can help, in the regular season. However, unless he's willing to say "if you want to win in the playoffs, do the exact opposite of what I do", I'm not sure how much he can help in that regard.
