Stamkos will be the focal point for now, Yandle isn't worth north of 6 a year but i'm sure he will get it. Yandle's name has come up again within the Sabres.

All I am saying is that poor teams have gotten great players in the past (Kovi in ATL, Nash in Columbus or Barkov/Ekblad in Florida) and it hasn't done anything for ticket sales. You can put the best player in the world on the ice for any organization, if they are repeatedly losing games and missing playoffs it doesn't matter what that player does, the fans will leave. AZ is not a place that has a big hockey following as it is. It is for this reason I still say that McD doesn't sell out stadiums in Arizona. He may get a few games, maybe even a bunch, but after the newness wares off, if the record ain't right the ticket sales won't be either.

Just like any other player. Even if Jack has to have micro fracture surgery, worst case, obviously career ender, but infinitely more likely he's out for 6 months-ish. Smith has nerve damage, and docs don't/can't know the extent of it. Nerves regenerate very slowly if at all depending on where in the body they are. I have no feeling in almost half my lower leg from nerve damage from having a bunch of knee surgeries. The last one I had was 6 years ago, and I still can't feel my leg.
