I'd like Fowler. I'd want Lindholm more and maybe they're more willing to move him now but I've joined the "it'll cost too much" team. Then I'd like a defensive defenseman. On offense we all know who is out there. I'd just be adverse to signing more than 1 guy who is over 30 to a deal of more than 3 years.

And I'll agree on Johnson. Only thing on that is I'll say imagine if we still had Neuvirth. I forgot how good that guy could be when he gets hot.

10-11 a year was what I was told for Stamkos from the Sabres, think Kopitar deal or somewhat along those lines. I think Tampa can only offer him the max but the Sabres have there own number in mind.

IMO Ennis for Scandella or Brodin is a very fair offer, the Wild get another scorer and we get the LHD we need. Both contracts aren't bad.

See edited post above and trade Pysyk before it's too late.

Essentially, you're going to have 4 defenders you're not going to want to part with. If you choose the 8 skaters method, that leaves our top 6 badly exposed. Depending on if we trade for a vet Dman, we're going to have to not protect both McCabe and Pysyk if they both remain.

Maybe I'm making an assumption but I'm going to assume you weren't there at any of the games 05-09 heck even through 2011 when we made the playoffs. It was one of the loudest arenas in the league. I had seasons from 05-08 and it was always loud even in the 200's. I'm not making excuses it's a number of different logical reasons why the arena is so quiet.

The number 1 reasons is winning. Tampa? Give me a (frank)ing break. When they weren't good they could barely fill up the (frank)ing place. How quick one forgets... Washington? They had nearly half empty arenas the year before they got Ovi. Don't even get me started on Anaheim and LA...

This year fans were starting to attempt to get more into games but there are numerous other reasons why the atmosphere hasn't been as loud

One being the fact that the game has changed and the Sabres under Bylsma play a very boring defensive game. I went to about six or so games this year and whenever Eichel had the puck or we were in the lead or rallying the crowd got into it. The Edmonton game actually gave me flashbacks to 07 for a few moments.
The arena experience is also significantly worse than it was back in the 2000's why is that? Not quite sure. You'd think it would get better not worse but that's something that needs to change significantly. Don't come on here and act like it's the quietest fanbase at a game when you've probably been to five significant Sabres games in your lifetime.

Now don't get me wrong, the arena atmosphere could be better. A few accommodations and changes could go a long way. But the main point is the fact that we're losing. Give us a few trips to the playoffs, maybe a division win or two and you're going to see the life in the arena come back. I also think Pegula and company thought that this wasn't the time to invest in it since they knew attendance was going to slip a bit either way with the tank (Down to a whopping 97.4%).
