What the Sabres are willing to pay, sorry I might have worded that wrong, a journalist I am not . - SABRES 89
No problem. You have to assume the Sabres have more than done their due diligence with his agent. Casual, non tampering talks of course. And I think it's fair to assume that Stamkos is open to coming to Buffalo (is that what the Sabres are saying?) I know it's been a rumor forever that Murray wants him, but there's no real rumor out there that says he's truly interest in us. So I wonder if they're positioning with real numbers for their future cap now. |

950,000 for Larsson Not bad I guess we knew he'd get a slight raise. Glad it's not over a million |

it's facts
moulson put up 1.31 points per 60 minutes on a really bad year
the young savior put up 1.01 points per 60 minutes
moulson's production is 30 % better and he stinks to hell
so if you look at the golden child, WITH BOTH EYES OPEN, he really took a big step back
you can't have it both ways, bash one player to no end, yet put a first rd bust on the untouchable list whose production is a fraction of a slow moulson
there are intangibles to take into account with moulson as well, while the lion eater refuses to play the coaches system
if you want to be a cheerleader, join the WNY hockey women's education class
if you want to talk hockey, prove me wrong with an honest assessment
you want to talk sh!t in responses to me, yet never back it up with logic, and hockey related conversations
ball is in your court, as you have had lots of digs at me over the months, and if you need help, I have lots of value vision coupons I can e mail you - homiedclown
No doubt Girgs took a step back last year. I use logic all the time, and if you are unable to see any value in why I am defending him then I can't help that.
Even Disco Dan, the coach whose system Girgs is allegedly slow to embrace, had said all year that he feels Girgs was doing well in the other phases of the game, including the intangibles you espouse, and the lack of goals was not troubling. Who else among forwards do we have that plays heavy beside him, Foligno, and Larsson (who I like, but don't share the opinion that be makes Girge expendable)?
I'm at work and can't look up his two years before last, but Girgs has put up more production in total than Larsson...this is a fact.
Whoever called him a savior, btw?
Cool down on the cheerleader nonsense. I have no problem disagreeing with anyone, and I'm certainly not afraid of your intelligence or hockey sense, but I'm a college professor and licensed professional that has little time for girly name calling. Talk all you want about your dog, fish tanks, cleaning girls religious habits, beer, whatever you want, but don't be quick to disrespect others...it reeks of insecurity. If my comment calling you "clever" offended you, I apologize.
Lastly, I have made digs at you? If my lack of tolerance for one-word arguments that you use regularly is perceived as attacking you, again, I can't help that. I actually find you funny and insightful and quick to defend us from trolls, and I respect that. |

I don't have any names, that was me thinking out loud, most are focused on the Ducks when the Wild have a couple we could use at around the 4 mill a year range. - SABRES 89

Good signing, would of been nice to get him at that for 2-3 years instead of 1 but i will take it. |

Don't want Legwand. Would rather someone younger occupy that spot. Larsson on the 4th line for instance - bluengold12
Legwand will be nice and cheap and will free up money for other players. Can't have a team filled with kids |

Yandle is on the same cloud as Ladd and Boedker, they all think they are worth north of 6 mill a year. Let another team pay that, you can add Shaw to that list as well. We should stay as far away from Andrew Shaw as possible, that has Leino written all over it. |

Just curious, where does this talk of Shaw wanting big money come from? |

So what will the reaction be when Toronto does win the lottery tomorrow? Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Reilly, it's not a bad team. Then when they add Stamkos what do we do?
I'm having a mini freak out right now but I'm just really trying to lower my expectations and prepare for the worst. |

I mean while its a possibility i don't think Toronto can throw away nearly 50 years of sucking after one little good patch right? |

If they make the playoffs before us or win a cup before us it's game over man. |

They are definitely becoming a good team, even if they finish in the top 3 tomorrow.
They are a team that I am becoming worried about, not because they are Toronto, but more of the fact that they are in the division. |

Odds are against them regarding Matthews. We know this all too well. As far as Stamkos goes, who knows. Dreger and others don't seem to think he's going there. I think the Leafs are doing the right things and are on a good track, which will strengthen the rivalry with us. That could actually be cool.
Having said that, f$&k that team! Twice, three times, as many as you like. |

|
So why only a one year deal for Larsson? To prove worthy of a longer next contract? |
|
|
|
For fun, if Sabres win lottery and Arizona gets #2, do we contemplate trading down a spot and what would Yotes pay? Realize probability is next to nil... |

I know the odds are against the Sabres. I don't call that hockey gods mumbo jumbo but I can really see Toronto winning the lotto after us trying and missing it twice in a row. |

I think I would only do it for Ekman-Larsson, but I'll bet that's too rich for AZ. |

If you're me and you get that top pick you trade down no matter who is at 2. I want Laine and I'm set with centers especially if we think there's a chance at Stamkos. Get a 2nd or a prospect and move down 1 spot and let Matthews go to whoever gets 2nd.
Just to make myself happy:
Kane-Stamkos-ROR
Laine-Eichel-Reinhart
Girgensons-Ennis-Moulson
Foligno-Gionta-Larsson
