Read needs to be gone at any cost necessary. Getting dressed with a guy like that 80+ times per year is restrictive to the emotional growth of the team. When you are in a series and one of your brothers (Laughton) gets man handled by a big physical opponent, it becomes utterly demoralizing as a player to know you've got no choice but to go into battle against this type of opponent with the likes of a Matt Read (I feel the same way about Andrew Macdonald). For this reason, he (they) must be gone. His ceiling is blatantly obvious and well behind him. He is a guy you want to play against, not with.
I believe Hextal knows this and will act accordingly.
