I'm praying for Lady Luck shining on the Sabres...and bracing for a fall to 10th, cause that's what we do in Bflo.
Btw, nice write-up...I think on paper the Bills have an A- so far...the 3rd has some work to do to become a complete player...but he also has time to develop.
Wondering if they take their QB in the 4th...but probably in the 5th...Hogan seems to be a good target for a backup.

they have the last pick in the fourth round today, may need to go after Hogan (or whomever they like) with that one
Today is going to be an outstanding day for the Sabres. I think lady-luck is going to be on our side and we'll be picking top 3. With that in mind, GMTM's main job after the draft will be to sign Stamkos and find Risto's partner. Easy, peasy.
Also, if the Oilers somehow win the #1 again, I will protest by letting the air out of the tires of all the trucks and cars that have Alberta licence plates in my town.

If the Oilers win again, I have a rope, an oak tree in my backyard with a good sturdy branch, and a chair with not so sturdy legs, as a plan B.

I started drinking at 10 am in preparation for them winning tonight
Not sure why the 29 other owners and GM's haven't insisted on an "Oilers Rule" whereby the same team can't get the #1 pick back-to-back or "x" times over a 5 year time period. The NHL is rewarding incompetence by having the Oilers win it over and over again

You're right, the rule should have been in place at the end of last year. I guess nobody possibly could have thought Edmonton would be in the basement again after getting McDavid. But, if they win again and take Matthews they will be in the basement again. They refuse to address the defensive side of the game, and the 29 other G.M. shouldn't tolerate it anymore.

If im at home when its on, i'll turn it on. But im not really interested in watching uncle Fester open envelopes live. Reading the results later just sounds like a lot better use of my time.
As stated above by another poster, as a native Buffalonian, i hope for the best and yet am prepared for the "worst."
#1 would be awesome, but I wish for #2 or #3. Laine I think is an incredible fit for us. - LandlordTom
After watching more highlights I can see why folks are saying he has narrowed the gap between him and Matthews. He is still #2, but the release he has and accuracy...lights out.

somebody mentioned a brett hull comparison with laine....
