They need all the help on the backend that they can get.
They can take Chychrun to pair with Nurse.
It's not like they're close to competing for the cup, so why trade for older talent when they can takea bluechipper.

My question is what do you guys think any team will give up to compensate. I don't see another team adding another first or second or top prospect to move four spots.

If Canucks are going to trade their 5 th , I think it would be a trade like Lindholm or Gudbrandson for the fifth straight up. There won't be second pieces.

You'd have to find a team in love with Dubois or Tkachuk, considering that it seems there isn't much consensus from 6-14

It's a good draft . There are very good players . The only game changer I think in a few years is Laine. You have some Taylor Halls and Morgan Reilly's but no Mc.David or Ekblads

Tanev and Hamonic are roughly the same player. To give up the 5th too is crazy. Also, paying that much for a player that has demanded a trade to a very specific few teams is even crazier.

Heatley went for garbage when he demanded a trade. Kesler went for magic beans. No reason to trade legitimate assets for a player who has demanded a trade
